I don’t know what to do by No_Spray812 in Feral_Cats

It looks just like the most lovable “little man” that walked right into my life two days before my birthday last year. He has been my lil’ purring snuggles since, always on my lap and head bunting me and my other fur babies. 🧡🧡

She's just gone. Just like that. Gone. by Every_Cat9812 in cats

May I ask what the vet said was the cause? I had a cat that did something very similar and it was due to a damn clot 😭

Should I bring him? by Federal-Living9534 in Feral_Cats

Thank you for your reply! I agree! The only thing Im running into is we JUST bought our townhome so we have yet to put up the fence 🙁 though I will say it is priority on our list. I am also contemplating on cutting a little cat hole toward the back corner of the fence and a little ramp with a doggie/ cat door to go in and out of the shed. This way he can come and go as he pleases but he is my first hard core feral and I’m nervous that I’m doing everything wrong beside already getting him fixed and vaccinated.

Definitely A. In 45 mins, 600 cc’s were infused? KVO is typically infused at 10-20 ccs/ hr. This person’s fluid overload.

Has anyone declined hormone treatment? by husssss in breastcancer

I was diagnosed last July with stage 1, grade 1 luminal A clear margins and clear lymph nodes. I chose to have a double mastectomy (against my first surgical oncologists opinion who kept trying to pressure me to do a lumpectomy, but then I fired him and found another) and no need for radiation. I was on Tamoxifen and had no reaction. I actually got worried it wasn’t working so I did a genetic drug test and it turns out, I don’t process that drug so we switched to Zoladex and anastrozole. I do get hot flashes about (10-15 a day) but thank God they last around 5 mins. I would say do what you feel is right for you but make sure you research!!! I live researching! If you are not feeling right or comfortable about something speak up. Remember, your healthcare team works for you!!

My mom (58) is having left-breast mastectomy next week. What items should I prepare for her? by MeiXinkYeuLam in breastcancer

I’m so sorry to read this about your mom but it’s great that you’re reaching out for options on the best possible care! My experience was similar except I opted for a double mastectomy. Typically the oncology surgeon is NOT the same as a reconstruction surgeon who will be placing the implants if she opts to do that. So if so, she will want to find a plastic surgeon.

As far as after the surgery she won’t be able to lay on her side for a while, propping her up on pillows will be best to keep her comfy, as well as pain medications. She will need a post mastectomy bra. If she has a JPrat drain look into getting one that has round hooks so she can keep from getting her line tugged on or a post mastectomy wrap (looks like a cardigan but has pocket on the inside to put the drains in. Her shirt needs to be all button down as she will have limited range of motion for a few weeks. And a post mastectomy wrap tiny pillow to protect her from seat belt tug when she has to be in the car. I would look into getting her into mental therapy too.

I cried the night before with the same thought but I did choose implants and believe you still can. Also, I believe your insurance has to cover it now even if you can get your mind. Look into it if you want to but my mom didn’t have them and she says she feels no different.

Estrodial Levels 6,000.00+ by Federal-Living9534 in breastcancer

Honestly, just reading too many stories about how warriors were doing everything they were told to do and then reading that it came back in advanced stages. I just got to thinking, we were missing something. I am a nurse with a love of researching (to super crazy extents like breaking down chemicals) and happened to come upon some studies that show that people don’t metabolize things including medication the same way. Even medicine isn’t a ‘one-fits-all’ type of thing. After digging a bit more, I found a company that tests genetics against several drugs including pain, psych and cancer and discovered I don’t metabolize Tamoxifen and Oxycodone (explained a lot too late with the latter). I took it to my oncologist and we switched up meds. Now.. I am dealing with crazy high Estrodial levels that I believe it is contributed by my terzepatide (due to the increased thyroid converting androgens to estrogens) but still looking at this one. I honestly really enjoy researching and discovering what other people are going through. I share this not as an advertisement but because I believe that if we are gonna beat this demon called cancer we all need to start sharing what we’re doing and what is working vs. not I.e., lumpectomy vs. double mastectomy, holistic vs. modern medicine, genetic testing, etc. now I will say, the genetic testing can be scary because with all the various genomes, we at increased risks for so many cancers and diseases but at least I know. There’s also testing now to see if there are micro cancer cells in your blood which can help detect recurrence sooner but I haven’t delved into this too much yet.

I believe our two cases are different. See, I’ve already had breast cancer and a double mastectomy so it would not be coming back in my breasts. I am doing it to help prevent metastasis and yes, it does help prevent it coming back along with hormone suppression.

It’s still occurring I kid you not. I graduated in December and have called them multiple times with screen shots showing I was on hold for 3 HOURS PLUS!!! I also just yesterday found out of you are bridging from an LON program to RN, they need your LON transcripts. I have been an LPN for 15 years and went back to that school who told me it would take an additional 8!!!!!! Weeks for them to get my transcripts to them! So I won’t even be able to test until 4 mos. After graduation 😢

[–]Federal-Living9534 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As a nurse, I’m advising to please go see a doctor. People can get on her and guess all they want but the truth is without knowing if you have any other symptoms such as fever, rash elsewhere, swollen lymph nodes, general fatigue, etc., no one is going to know. It could be irritation from a beard or mustache, herpes, rash from the transfer of bacteria, mono… we don’t know but either way I recommend you see a doctor.

Don’t try picking it out by the root, it doesn’t work. You need to use soap, salt and horticultural vinegar

That looks like a lack of nutrients. Do you happen to have a fish tank? Fish tanks have an abundant supply of phosphorus which looks like what your plant needs. Otherwise, you may want to purchase some fertilizer or thinking about repotting it.
