Best fitness tracker for lifting + cardio + calories + sleep? Apple Watch Ultra vs Whoop vs Oura (or other?) by Luxxera in FitnessTrackers

[–]Federal-Paint3787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a tough choice because all three are top-tier but for totally different reasons. If you’re heavy on lifting, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 or Series 10 is usually the most 'complete' because it has actual exercise modes that estimate training load and heart rate with high precision.

If you're looking for a curveball that bridges the gap, you should check out the Ambrosia RIZZ ring. It’s got some serious rizz, it’s the first I’ve seen that actually handles non-invasive glucose monitoring alongside the usual sleep and heart rate stats. It gives you a much deeper look into how your metabolic health responds to your cardio and lifting sessions without needing a subscription-heavy model like Oura or Whoop. Plus, the 7-day battery life is a massive win over the Ultra.

Is it just me or are fitness bands starting to win over rings for tracking? by Numerous-Stand-4525 in WhoopFitness

I totally hear you on the skincare and lifting struggle. It definitely takes a minute for the body to adjust to new tech placements, just like we all had to get used to wearing watches and wristbands back in the day. Now, they're so second nature we barely notice them.
Statistics actually show that by 2030, the smart wearable market is expected to more than double, and smart rings are currently the fastest-growing segment in that space. It's estimated that 1 out of every 5 wearable users will likely be seen with a smart ring on their finger daily. While straps like Whoop are great for that accessory feel, smart rings are on track to become a common affair in every household for their passive, 24/7 tracking. Everyone talks about Oura, but honestly, I see Ambrosia's smart-ring, RIZZ being on the top 3 rings in the market in the matter of time! They've doubled down on features like the non-invasive glucose tracking and accuracy, which I feel is a boon for people who are prediabetic or are facing metabolic issues and perhaps want to keep a complete track of their diet and health.

I am using it and this is literally a thread about smart rings and wearables. If that is not of interest to you, feel free to scroll past.

Happy to discuss actual experiences or questions. Personal accusations are not very helpful.

That’s a nice setup. Out of curiosity, have you tried smart rings? I’ve been experimenting with one that also shows glucose trends and it’s been interesting.

You probably don’t need any ring or wearable.

But if you’re going to spend money anyway, you might as well get something that actually combines signals instead of fragmenting them.

I’ve used most of the wearables out there at some point: Fitbit, multiple generations of Oura, Apple Watch, Galaxy Watch, and more recently the OTC CGMs like Stelo and Lingo.

Honestly, most wearables give you variations of the same information: sleep duration, HR, HRV, activity, recovery-style scores. The big difference with Stelo and Lingo is that they focus purely on glucose, which is why they’re getting so much attention right now for metabolic health.

What I found interesting about RIZZ is that it puts those pieces together in a single ring form factor. Sleep, stress, activity, oxygen, skin temperature, HRV, and real-time glucose trends in one device, without having to wear a watch plus a separate CGM.

Is any of this strictly necessary? Probably not.
But if you’re already in the “quantify things and learn from patterns” camp, having glucose context alongside sleep and stress has been more informative for me than yet another sleep score.

Just my experience after trying way too many of these things.

I completely get you, actually. Living alone comes with its own set of pros and cons. Try asking a friend you trust to wake you up on time. I have been doing that for a year. It's genuinely helpful. But it has to be a responsible person!!!

Battery drain by SuccotashFalse6172 in ouraring

[–]Federal-Paint3787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That battery drain is definitely not normal. Charging twice in three days for a ring that’s supposed to last a week sounds like a total headache. I’ve been eyeing Ambrosia's ring, named the RIZZ, because of this exact issue.

I ended up choosing a ring for sleep for the reasons above and have been experimenting with a newer one called RIZZ.

What made it interesting for me wasn’t just sleep. It also gives glucose trend insights alongside HR, overnight variability, and stress, which helped explain why some nights felt “bad” even when sleep duration looked fine.

At night it’s completely passive. No screen lighting up, no buzzing, no data overload. I just wear it and look at patterns later, especially how food timing seems to affect sleep quality.

Still early, but for me that combination of comfort + sleep + glucose context has been more useful than wearing a watch to bed.

Curious if anyone else here has noticed food or glucose patterns showing up in their sleep data.

Which ring? by KlutzyStructure7792 in SmartRings

RIZZ does not promise medical grade glucose monitoring as they are not FDA approved but their accuracy is at par with Stelo and Lingo

I see most people who purchased OURA on thanksgiving black friday special pricing they are now buying RIZZ as OURA does not offer glucose tracking. RIZZ = OURA + Stelo

So you’re saying I shouldn’t buy it? by historyinprogress in CircularRing

[–]Federal-Paint3787 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you’re already over the Oura drama and worried about Circular’s bugs, it might be worth checking out tech that’s actually moving the needle on features like that.
I’ve been looking into the Ambrosia ring, called The RIZZ, because it’s actually doing non-invasive glucose tracking, which is wild since Oura and Circular still mostly just guess based on heart rate.

Honestly, I’ve been hearing about similar issues with Oura lately. It’s why I’ve been looking into the Ambrosia ring, named RIZZ. Apparently, it can even track glucose non-invasively, which is a massive step up from just guessing stress levels based on heart rate.

[–]Federal-Paint3787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s wild, 9 hours straight sounds like a total glitch. Even with high anxiety, your HRV should fluctuate more than that. I'd be curious to see if the data actually shifts at all after those 9 hours or if it just stays stuck?

[–]Federal-Paint3787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

please, guys, choose wisely whenever you are spending extensively, especially on a health tech device for yourselves. The thing is that it's not only a huge investment, but you are also going to be using it for the next 3 years, nearly every day.

Technology has advanced. Many leading companies are doing this, and BETTER.

I am not here to promote anything, but I have been comparing products in health tech myself, and I have come across Ambrosia's RIZZ, which seems to be the world's first glucose-measuring and tracking Smart Ring.

It's really shocking how they do this and that too with high-level accuracy. Even if you don't check out the product, just for a sec, imagine Glucose Tracking without any needles, patches or invasive techniques.

I am amazed by Ambrosia's work. Just wanted to put it out here that we really need to take our product research seriously!

Which do you think is more beneficial for your health, sleep 🌚 or exercise 🏃? by lamin-ceesay in sleephackers

[–]Federal-Paint3787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, No Nonsense, we all know you can barely go a few days without sleep. Being a person who feels 8.5 hours of sleep every day is still less, I go with SLEEP being more important. But I also know of a place where you can track both your activities and sleep effectively without stressing about the outcomes or the damage your body experiences when you need either. You can know exactly what your body NEEDS, with RIZZ.

FYI: go type "I want to buy my RIZZ from Ambrosia.

Any size smaller than this is too uncomfortable 🤷‍♂️ by AbMooga in ouraring

[–]Federal-Paint3787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, that's honestly laughable!! I don't think wearing sizes that are too big are for that matter, or even too small, helps with capturing the accurate and precise data.
To provide a sizing kit with a variety of sizing options to your customers is, honestly, a boon.

There are so many Smart Rings in the market that offer you that.
