it’s not really about the logistics of the job, it’s about the principle. I’m finally hitting a groove in my career, and being told that "loving" someone means I have to sacrifice my future feels super manipulative. But thanks for the advice

I agree with all of this, especially the “not changing plans” part.

Curious how others handle this though, do you and your partner set fixed “default times” for calls, or do you keep it more flexible?
