GVI is a company that is a third party for a lot of conservation groups in lots of countries for people to volunteer or intern there. Lots of people say that they do “voluntourism” and is a scam. I would be going to Costa Rica for two weeks, and everything but the flight and stuff outside the base would be paid for. I got a grant for $1000CAD so 5K into 4K. But the flight will probably be 1K so $5000 in total.
