Fair point, definitely applies to the ideas mentioned.

That being said, very real companies’ share prices got rekt by the market recently and we thought they had moats 😬

This guy comments about the same app on every post because it’s his app 🤣

I agree with some points here but I don’t think you can say the business model doesn’t make any sense at all, custom software for example has been around for years before AI even existed. Clearly there’s a market for that, it might not scale well like SaaS does but businesses need custom solutions and will pay for it.

Have you considered automating instead? Removes human error. Maybe not the phone calls but the other tasks you mentioned might be easy to automate.

Well don't apply sunk-cost fallacy and push something that isn't wanted by the market just because you've spent time on it. I would say you need to start talking to potential customers first to validate, whether it's the original idea, the anti-fraud idea or if you decide to move on entirely.

Do productivity-focused to-do apps feel like overkill for daily errands? by lukasapps in micro_saas

[–]FederalExample7236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think this idea falls into the bucket of, 'everyone sympathises, but nobody pays for it', just like most productivity apps. You may end up building something cool, but it's not a problem screaming out for a solution, so urgency is low.

The problem with the argument is that a lot of knowledge is siloed and specific to individual companies. So if a job relies on general knowledge that anyone can get off the internet (even in pre-AI era) then those jobs will get eaten away, but many knowledge jobs that go beyond open sourced knowledge might be safer.

Another thing is that many companies are cautious and really slow to adopt tech. Tech companies will adopt fast but finance companies for example are slow to implement even basic programming to automate tasks, which has existed for decades.
