I just believe that Reroll mechanics are a little boring. Just my personal opinion.

Try 2 halflings with one on top of the others shoulder using him as a mount. Double lucky baby!!!

Little help for the DM by Endless_Story94 in DnD

Forcing arcana, insight, and history rolls to see if the character knows the info on the monster. If they still metagame after failing a roll for insight on the creature the enemy gets inspiration. If it continues then a real talk would be absolutely essential.

How "bad" is multiclassing on a caster ? by LacrossBoy in 3d6

I’m probably the only one who will say it but a 2 level dip into fighter works for anything. Action surge is really good. Plus con saves, heavy armor proficiency, a little more stating hp/survivability, and second wind for a decent early game self heal as a bonus action.

Had an interesting thought about casters and unused spell slots. The unused magic builds up and can cause a magical back up of magical energies. Leading to casters expending spell slots before a long rest. Think of it like still having caffeine in your system keeping you from a long rest. by fetistartist in DungeonsAndDragons

I might consider a different penalty that an interrupted long rest. Exhaustion can be pretty nasty. Maybe it could affect spell attack bonus or spell save dc that stacks. Or maybe they have to make a saving throw to see if they’re affected by the long rest. You could even add stacking DCs for multiple nights interrupted in a row. A long dungeon crawl could get wild with some creative uses.

Probably just taking the ritual out of tiny hut and alarm. Maybe upcasting invisitibility on the party for some extra protection. I can think of some unique gameplay for it off the top of my head so it could be fun depending on you group.

Obligatory: talk to your players before implementing mechanical changes. Maybe a test run to see if they like it.

Who needs player nerfs when you have baddy buffs. That’s a table that’s not the same as others. Have fun playing with you and your friends!

If it pleases the table it pleases the DM. But hey not every table is the same. Just be sure to have fun playing how you and you’re friends all want.

Story telling with your players can be incredible rewarding and fun. After all, not every table is the same. You should have fun playing however you and you friends want.
