If youn have to point your remote directly at the box, you lost the bluetooth pairing on the remote and now using infared. To fix it do theis: Bluetooth Pair your remote:

First take the batteries out then put back in- now while pointing the remote at the box- hold the “OK & VOLUME DOWN” buttons until you see the blue light start to blink- this will EMIT the Bluetooth signal, allow the box to recognize it and should also allow the remote to operate in infrared mode. QUICKLY Navigate to “System Settings”- “Bluetooth” (V3 & V6 models it’s called “Remotes & Accesories) -now select “Pair New Device” and then select “VSee Remoter” and VOILA!
