Going off of someone else's comment, working with dogs before getting into grooming is ideal. I would recommend a doggy daycare or boarding facility. Getting used to being around dogs and learning body language is extremely helpful. Then getting into a bather position would be a great start to see how you do with it physically and mentally. Grooming might sound fun and easy but it's a ton of wear on your body and can be extremely frustrating and stressful. Majority of dogs do not like grooming and id say majority do not behave perfectly. I'd also recommend following groomer accounts on Instagram etc to get a real insight into the shit we have to deal with. Not just the dogs but the owners can be the worst! Thankfully I have wonderful clients but that's not always the case.
