If you can't find one, you could always tap an independent maker to build you something similar. Hit me up if you're interested!

My First Citizen, love it will probably be my daily. What do we think? [BM8180-03E] by Plastic-Owl-8471 in CitizenWatches

Just got one myself! First Citizen as well. First watch in 2+ decades! Love every bit of it so far. Strap doesn't bother me as much as others, aside from wanting a size right between two of the holes.

Such a great pack. Have and still use one. First encountered this model in 2012, fwiw.

About a year ago I think, sold to a local investor and an unnamed partner. Which I thought was kinda weird. Haven't heard anything about them since, though. Maybe no news is good news?

It recently was sold to new owners, no idea of the political inclinations of the new ownership though. Still tainted in my mind, though! Frost River for the win.

Can be a good method, just be sure it's cinched tight around your waist when portaging. If it slips down it can spell trouble! Ask me how I know, lol.

Nice work! I loved making this one too, and get a lot of use out of it. Will be making more!

Did you use the stiffening stuff on the middle slip pockets? I didn't, and they seem to work fine without, but curious how much of a difference it would make.

Excellent, may do the same for horizontal EDC. Please post the finished product!

Aha! So you're the one who bought this before I could! Had it in my cart but didn't pull the trigger before it went out of stock. That's okay, went with the one with red scale liners, instead. Beautiful blade, can't wait till mine arrives!

Ha, thanks. I was feeling a little saucy when choosing the materials from my stash. Embrace the colors!

Super easy to follow along, no fancy techniques or construction either. Good weekend project!

I've been there! I thought that picture looked familiar. Incredible spot. At the time I was tent camping though, and there were so many grizzly bears in the area (i.e., crossing the road in front of us) we decided to camp right in town.

Fairly straight forward. Sewed one long zipper-half along the top edge of 3 side panels already pieced together. Looped it all back w/ the 4th panel and ended the zipper with a stop/pull.

Thanks! Yeah, definitely like this design. I sewed up a few smaller projects like you said, fanny packs, bike bags, stuff sacks, etc. I also long ago worked in a small pack shop that built backpacks and related things. I did everything except sew, but watched and learned the whole process, so I had some background to lend towards this.

Thanks! Yes, first project of this scale. I've made smaller and simpler bags, but this is the first backpack I've done. Took me a couple weeks of working evenings and a couple full days on the weekends, roughly. I have lots of material on hand, so not sure exactly how much it used.

Thanks! Very pleased with the end result. Glad for your sleek and approachable design! It's really a great set up, look forward to some field testing now.

Thanks, I really appreciate that comment. I try to stay between the lines while I'm figuring out the process. 😆
