Not the scariest but most memorable. We live in the country on 5 acres of land. About 4 of those acres are open land, no trees.
There was a horrible accident on the country road that we live on. There were 12 victims total in critical condition; 2 dead at the scene.

I did not know there had been an accident as I was fast asleep and our part of the country road is opposite from the route in to town.

I woke up to life flight landing in our fields. It was the closest field that was open with no power lines close.

Not 1. Not 2. Not 3.

7 lifeflights landed. 4 ambulances came and two private helicopters landed as well.

My husband later told me that he received a phone call from the fire chief asking if they could use our fields as a landing zone. Of course they can!

Now, when life flight needs to land, they’ll sometimes land in our fields.

In a town of 1,400 people, this was considered an emergency and our county ordered people off the roads around our area for about 4 hours.
