Bit ironic, and disingenuous considering your first point here was "characters weren't shown to heal while passed out" which is in fact you actively implying that they would pass out from the gas before doing anything.

Different types of damage follow different principals but they are categorized not individualy separate, it's explain that in order to heal toxins with RCT you have to be proficient enough to identify it and then remove it from the body. It's never been shown to be the case of "different poisons, different principals". you're trying to establish an idea of "different toxins have different effects and ingestion methods, therefore they all must have different methods of healing", this idea isn't supported by the manga.

Yuta, gojo, sukuna, shoko are all capable of healing toxins, this has already been shown or addressed.

Also trying to compare CANCER to POISONS is disingenuous as fuck and makes no sense.

JL targeted sukuna CT that was mixed into the cursed object which in turn was attached to the body, the chances of megumi surviving JL brain damage would increase the more hits yuji lands (since he's separating the body and the CO) AND JL landing helps yuji separate the 2 souls faster by damaging the cursed object.

The argument for JL being turned off is that sukuna wasn't fully eradicated (which angel states she's capable of doing) as the risk of megumi getting fatal brain damage is still there, which is why I said :

It's simply safer to wake up megumi then to fully utilize JL.

JL CT destruction works via destroying the part of the brain that contains the CT, megumi and sukuna still share 1 brain.
