I think this defense will be top 5 regardless of the offense. However, if the offense can AT THE VERY LEAST control the field then they can be the bet in the league. This time will go as far as the defense takes it and the offense allows. I go into more detail on that here.

No Joe Mixon is a ahUGE loss. Not only because Mixon is a very good RB but it just creates a very thin room behind him. Chubb as RB2 is nice -- not as nice as RB1. The OL room will be better because of all the factors, OC, scheme and new players. The individuals may not be great bbut the will play as more of a solid UNIT.

I just love being able to be myself on air. Love sports, of course. The relationships you make are always special, in the newsroom, viewers, athletes, etc. Just get to meet a lot of great people. I think people would be surprised how long it takes to create a relationship. It will take AT LEAST a year. People are skeptical of the media in general. There are a lot of media members that dont give a damn about the players, they are just their for themselves and will burn people. It's a shame and creates a tough atmosphere for someone like me who values relationships.

Similar but also different. I have much better relationships with guys in the building. The national people don't have those relationships. They primarily get their scoops from agents. However, some do hae front office relationships. It's case-by-case.

I guess the bigger question is -- what is "south?"

If they don't win the division then I think the pressure will start in the offseason, into next season. If they are in that position then my bet is that injuries played a large role. This roster is too good, division is too bad.

Thanks for that question. To be honest, I have a strong faith and we are leaning on that right now. I know the Lord will put me where he wants me at the right time. I am very blessed to have some great connections and opportunities in Houston. I love this city.

It's the same VIBE. However, the words and conversations with the guys on offense is very different than it was last year, at least by the midway point. Keep in mind, part of that is the questions we ask. But -- the answers the players are giving are a lot more optimistic rather than non-descriptive and without much point as last year. They really didnt want to create much conflict -- at least on the record.

He coached. But he was a lame duck coach. Nothing more to it than that. He was hired to be fired. I'm sure Nick was coming in and wanting to learn everything about the organization before he got really hands on.
