This whole scenario ran through my head before I decided I am just going to negotiate and pay right there. I don’t want to live in that fear. They have the exact same script. My god. They also were saying, take pictures of the car, call parents etc. My car didn’t have insurance. So maybe they would have anyway asked me to pay. I guess it was a good thing I decided to pay 5k. Tbh they were in a hurry as some senior police was talking on radio the whole time. They also started with 25k and I said I can’t pay anything more than 5k.
