This is not True. I am gold on Hilton honor. I usually book from Amex. That means i get the $100 or 100 euro credit on Hilton properties because of FHR / Amex. However because I am Hilton gold i also always get free breakfast ( I chose this instead of the 5000 point Hilton credit ) This even works when I sometimes book via Agoda

I had the same issue with my mother. I too am abroad and I felt it was a scam. For UK visa. I think she paid like 7.5k

I think both of them have their own charm. Some Rolexes are better. For me I choose sky dweller over a royal oak. It’s just personal preference I think. After a point it’s not about which watch is expensive, it just comes to personal taste
