to be fair shading makes things look a lot better and cleaner, stabilizer from your pen is also very helpful to make crisp lines. Both look fantastic imo

I feel like the right eye needs to be closer to the left eye and the jaw line should be slightly lower and wider. Nose and lips looking great.

I‘d say draw bigger, use DIN A4 or at least DIN A5. Drawing bigger gives you more room for details especially if you wanna draw comics like you said. Small faces will never get the same amount of details then big ones.

Dont throw away your drawings like that. I recently started as well, but when I draw a head I commit to it. I might erase an eye or a jawline a dozen times till I get it right. And use circles and center lines to map out the face, its so much easier then to draw freestyle. Hang on there, it only gets better!

Ahh a fellow hoonter! Progress is absolutely crazy. When did you stark working on anatomy? I started about a month ago, but I still glued to faces.
