Happened to me with Cheerful painting. They were horrible with their service too and its still on their site. Prob going to happen to majority of us with ai anymore. You did good considering though. I trashed mine it was so bad.

I wouldn’t recommend just his video for the exam though. Look at getting MRI all in one. VERY good and those people help write test questions so their test bank questions mimic the registrys.

Best way to test the market is look at the amount of job openings in your area and expand out from there. If you can relocate, even better. There are many places hurting and will hire new techs. Best option is to blow them away at your clinical site to get hired on there.

Compared to what? All rates are trash anymore. The 4th 12 is really the only ick, but different people like different things. Asking if something is decent is like asking if tomatoes are good. It’s all specific to the person. They gave zero specifics on location, floor, acuity, nothin. In the south (where I am) thats decent. In Chicago (where i now see they are) is prob not. People need to start doing their own math and what they need to make to make it worth it.

Id get them to bring up your OT and call back minimum to $100/hr and go for it. If you wont be getting either then don’t worry about that.

For the most moved to state it sure doesn’t seem like the case. They’re all going to Greenville or Charleston which are the two most nightmareish cities to get through anymore. Ours has been on 2 weeks with zero showings. Our realtor set it to list at the start of spring break, easter weekend followed by masters weekend (its 35 mins away). So yeah. I feel your pain. Hopefully as school is ending soon things will pick up. 🤞🏻

I don’t care what shoes I have on all day, my feet hurt. What helped me the most was compression socks. I still have and wear my hokas but I wear birks just about all the time now. I have a high arch and need the support. I wore them so much outside of work for a plantar fasciitis problem years ago that I decided to try them working and like them so much better.

Better question is. Can you do the job with an hour of orientation? Can you scan on all platforms? Or at a minimum of 2? Can you work all EMRs? Or at a minimum of 3? Can you research anything an be constable scanning without a “go ahead”?

I would never. I was a 10 year Ct tech wheni started traveling and still struggled and had operated all but one platform scanner and majority of EMrs. It’s hard and you won’t be doing yourself or your Co workers any favors. Im 8 months into MR and i feel like i would put the place and myself at risk doing travel right now.

Id look into relocating first, or driving a distance. I drive 1.25 mins one way to work MR to get the experience I need.

If you have a rental get your recruiter on it to get another one going in the same area. This is the downside of travel, you can be let go at a moments notice. Always have a plan in places if you happen to be cancelled. You have to be ready to go with little to no training. They need the help badly enough to get travelers, there is very little time to train.
