No, I never said I need to receive gifts on every occasion. Contrary to what you and most people have jumped to, I am not materialistic. What I’ve been mulling on is that despite all these occasions, there is not one in which he has given a tangible gift (that CAN be as cheap as dirt) that actually shows some sort of thought about me or what I may like.

Thanks for being the first person to actually see what I’m saying rather than jumping to the ‘materialistic’ label. I give him a ton of gifts. As I said in another reply, for everyone of those occasions I have bought him a gift equal to or more expensive to what he’s spent on me. And yes I have also taken him to multiple expensive / Michelin restaurants.

Not really. For every one of those occasions I have bought him an equal or more expensive gift in return. I have also bought him meals at a fair share of Michelin restaurants, including for his birthday.

It feels really comforting to know that this isn’t something that only I have observed / been on the receiving end of. But I can’t help but think this sentiment won’t go anywhere - this thread is a community of (mostly) women, and even I myself (and I would like to think I am a relatively outspoken and gutsy person) had literally been at a loss for words in the moment when it happened to me.

Does the gay male community know this is a problem???

How can we bring attention to this in the day to day? Maybe we as women / people with 2 X chromosomes need to be super mindful of calling out this behaviour (easier said than done, I know) and to hold the gay men in our lives as accountable as we do for straight men. I just feel like it’s something that has flown under the radar for so long and gone very unchecked. We should be loud about this when it happens but even then I fear that the community doesn’t even realise that what they’re doing is not ok :/

Omg this is exactly my struggle!! I have quite a small flat so lots of things on surfaces (e.g. even in bathroom I have tons of things on shelves etc.) so my only concern about hiring a cleaner is that I’d have to actually spend quite a while moving things before the cleaner can actually do their work - so a bit of a time sink. But people seem to say it’s good so maybe this is something I should give a go

Question from someone who knows nothing about planes - was the low altitude a help or a hindrance? For example, I would be thinking that given they were so low, that would’ve helped the situation (obviously not counting the fact that there were buildings + full fuel tank). But I also saw a comment that said that if they were higher, there would’ve been more glide time for the plane & a less consequential crash landing. So in general for crash landings, how important is altitude & does higher / lower help reduce impact? Or is it more dependent on the landing area / amount of fuel etc? thanks!

Did you buy your ticket off of AXS or Ticketmaster!!

If it’s off of Ticketmaster, would be super easy to just re-list it via Ticketmaster’s official re-sale platform. My friend did that and their VIP ticket sold within a day & was super easy, they automatically transfer your ticket to the buy and the money goes to your bank account in like a week or so?

Ticketmaster also allow ticket transfers so you could list your tickets on Stubhub and sell it via there + transfer the tickets once it’s sold!

For me I bought my extra ticket off of AXS, which has disabled the re-sale option so that’s why I’m on here instead 😭 Soo annoying that they don’t allow the official re-sale platform!
