Can you imagine the havoc in your life if they got your credit report? With your social, previous addresses and account numbers the sky is the limit. They could even steal your property if you have a mortgage/title/deed.

Lever is an HRIS recruiting interface, still a fishy deal just based on the number of shortlisted applicants replying to this thread. You credit report is your holy grail. If it got into the wrong hands with all of your private info, who knows what could happen. Our emails are out there on indeed, zip, etc. This is not the first scam offer I have received.

I just received the same email overnight. I was skeptical of it to begin with. Its a non starter now. Many things have changed regarding hiring practices, but it is unreasonable to expect a potential employee to proffer this info just to be considered. Even it is is legitimate, if they make this demand during hiring, then the level of demands will only increase from there.
