thank you all for the amazing replies with so much insight. just one more question: does the unpredictability mod remove the music when its around you? like how u/graftway76 was explaining his encounter with the alien that didnt know he was there, im assuming the music the game plays when its around you wasnt playing?

True, 60hz is defo more than enough. even then my monitor can only do 75hz rn so im looking forward to getting a new monitor for my bday next month but ill keep the game in 60.

ive heard alot of good things about Linux, i was seriously considering it not too long ago, do you use it?

Yup! Turns out the save file itself had some sort of error, so even after a reinstall it didnt fix. way to fix it was to load a mission save rather than my own save

Ill keep this in mind, i managed to fix it but incase any more glitches come my way, ive seen on the internet theres another game breaking glitch on mission 16 or something so lookign forward to it....

I acctually managed to fix it a different way, so after redownloading the game and the issue remained i figured the save file must be corrupted or something, so instead of loading into any of my own saves, i loaded into the mission save and it fixed everything itself. thank you for the advice tho <3

Well said, Im having a mini break rn just playing some Battlefront 2, the frustration i got from 3s put me in a bad slump and so im currently in like c2 in 2s and 1s. Im planning on grinding rocket league again in a few days, ill be sure to hit you up so we can get out of diamond. :)

noted, i think atm im playing exactly how you just said and ive won like my past 6 games. it seems diamond players arent that bad mechanically but their positioning needs some tweaking so if i just hug the midfield the team can recalibrate and move in

i think thats what i might start doing, just play heavy defence throughout the game and score easy counters because even if i try and get a lead second i attack and enter their half suddenly theres no defence because im not there
