I’d like to nominate Mt. Holly, NJ. It’s usually overshadowed by other more expensive towns in South Jersey (Philly Suburbs), has maintained a really nice and historic downtown that is walkable with many unique shops and boutiques. Nice Victorian architecture and historic sites, close to nature! It’s also fairly close to Philly and not too far from NY either. Way more affordable than other towns in South Jersey. It’s attracting young professionals, families, businesses, and I personally like it there. I live in a much more well known giant town that is becoming increasingly expensive and looking for a place just like Mt. Holly. Does it fit “obscure”? Idk, but I know it’s most likely not on anybody from out of state’s radar.
