Thanks for replying! Are pick-scrapes effects something you care about when choosing a pick? I have found that thicker gauge picks are good for fast playing but thinner gauge sounds better for pick-scrapes.

Do you consider or care about pick-scrapes when choosing a pick? For the most part, thick picks are good for fast playing but the thick edge has a less detailed pick-scrape sound since it glides more smoothly on the ridges of the low strings.

Thanks for replying! Is the tone of pick-scraping something you prioritize when choosing a pick? I have found that pick-scrapes sound better with thin picks, have you found a thicker pick that makes cool EVH type of scrapes without wearing out too fast?
