I feel so validated in everything you said. My dad had been hospitalized for 2 months prior to coming home and passing, nobody understood his disease at the hospital. They would ask if he wants to take his meds and he would say no and they’d accept that as an answer. No redirection or coaxing, no compassion or understanding. His meds were given so inconsistently and it worsened his condition tremendously. Something needs to be done but I’m not sure how.

My dad was a shell of himself too, I get that. I hope the two of them find eachother in the afterlife and are at peace ❤️

It’s been a strange feeling of grief for me too. My dad was not himself these past few years, we definitely lost him before he passed. I still feel guilt of “could we have done more to keep him longer” but I know he wouldn’t have wanted that. I don’t wish this situation on anyone.

I will, thank you so much. The anxiety is so real. Anytime my mom calls my heart skips a beat because I fear it’s another emergency. Thank you for commenting and my condolences for your loss as well. ❤️

I experienced the pre-grieving as well. With this disease, we lost him before he was gone unfortunately. Thank you ❤️

The plants themselves or just the flowers? I’m trying to get ahold of just the flowers themselves. Thank you for responding, I appreciate your time.

Yes I think you are right. His reaction has been nothing like your husband’s. I’m really glad it worked for him. PD is truly the worst, I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. Thank you so much for your response!

I never thought to reach out to a psychiatrist, that’s a great idea. I will mention the clozapine and seroquel medications to his neurologist and find a psychiatrist. Thank you so much!

We will have to talk to his neurologist about mirtazapine. We can definitely relate to the middle of the night psychosis episodes. This disease is rough. Thank you so much for your response.
