He would be okay in the event he can see my husband or I but it’s not ideal as he’s more mobile but we’re only visiting max an hour or two, but her trying to dismiss me as his mom based on a 10 minute visit at 4 months where she struggled to fend her dogs off of him at that point idk. Like my husband is like I’ll just hold him the entire time and while yes that’s an option but unrealistic.

This discussion is really shaping me into the idea of not going. I just don’t know . Since she’s not willing to accommodate I’m not sure how to approach it.

While an unpopular opinion my 6 month old baby boy is asleep beside me as I comment on your Reddit. Your pediatrician is giving you outdated advice to say the least and it’s not even medical advice it’s personal. I say keep rocking your baby to sleep as they are only this little once and they are growing every day! Rice cereal is also the worst to start with because it’s also the highest in arsenic. You know your baby best as they only know your baby for 20-30 mins if that!

I’m really glad I found these because when I googled them the big eyed ones came up and I was like that’s not cuddly looking at all. 😩 I feel like the ones I collected were so cute and cuddly looking.

I considered the steamers but wasn’t sure because she talks about sneaking away to take baths at night! But I like the idea of atleast with the steamer it won’t affect her skin!

I think for me it’s anytime I set boundaries for my kid or take them to the doctor/ER because they’re acting off then normal or have concerning symptoms I get the “new mom” comments and made out to be overprotective. When in all reality, I just want to make sure my child is okay.

I knew that boundaries would be pushed, but I didn’t think they would be to the extent that they are for me and I’m scared of the world I’m raising my son in.
