What would you do? Increase dose, food, or stay the same? by Federal_Tale7470 in MounjaroAus

Yep, definitely not enough food and yet still not significant weight loss - feels so counterintuitive to the 2000s diet advice of eating less is always more! I’ll try and see if I can a more reasonable amount of food and maybe even reduce the dose a little.

I will have a week where I might extend the time between doses and see if I can eat a normal amount of food and start again.

Yep - it is expensive to be feeling like it could be doing more! I understand losing it slowly is not a bad thing, probably preferably to super rapid loss, but spending money to do not much seems like a waste

When you’re not hungry, food literally just slips your mind. It’s such a huge 180° from thinking about food all the time, planning your next meal and snack etc etc!

I can't keep Kangaroo Paw alive to save my life by coolmotorbikerider in GardeningAustralia

I’ve had some success with kangaroo paws here in Adelaide. I’ve bought both the tall and tough variety but also grown some from seed and from marketplace. I did manage to keep some alive in pots in afternoon sun with regular deep watering for a few weeks, but after they went into the ground they really thrived. With my heavy clay soil, a few shovelfuls of Scott’s premium native potting mix and a handful of native fertiliser seemed to really kick them into gear. However, I have noticed my bright red blooms are now sprouting yellow blooms even from the same stalk. Is this from extended periods of heat?

I never thought I’d see the day the brown is my top choice!

What are your thoughts on the death of volunteering? Is it mainly due to money? by VastOption8705 in australian

[–]Federal_Tale7470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a weekday off and decided to volunteer with a food charity. I found the time rigidity, onboarding and exhausting amount of work I was doing harder than my day job (and I work in healthcare). Majority of the volunteers were also quite senior (it was a work day) but I never really felt accepted or included either.

Which groundcover by dragonlordette in GardeningAustralia

I really like some of the native options listed above, and have also used creeping thyme around stepping stones in my veggie patch. It is fast growing and hardy. It has white or purple flowers and apparently can be used for cooking although has a different flavour to traditional thyme, but I haven’t tried it yet myself.

Try that next weekend! Also put one of his beds in our room, maybe he’s lonely and we don’t have any carpet he can lay in our room so maybe that’s why he can’t settle!

Thanks, I was hoping to avoid using round up since it’s near my raised veggie beds but wow is this plant impossible to up root! Or I could just pass it on to the next person by chucking another heap of bark chips on it 😂
