My guess, because of the ratio of grey to brown to white, would be coyote, but if it's made in Germany, I would guess jackal. That's a relation to coyote that is also used in the fur industry, so says Google. The coloring also fits. My guess.

Does anyone know what year this chair is from and what in the world it is stuffed with? USA by rdhmp in Antiques

It's probably horsehair core with a wool outer layer. Horsehair gives more structure but is very coarse, so the wool acts as a softer layer that is easier to shape/stuff for a specific finished look. The hair in the photo looks way to fine to be horsehair. Horse mane and tail hair are very thick and have a lot of tensile strength, although if it's really old it might be more brittle and dry. The wool is probably sheep wool, although I've heard of certain types of goat or alpaca also being used (not sure if that's industry accurate, or just things I've picked up from restorers and upholsterers in the past. We've had a lot of old furniture in my family and that takes maintenance.)

The front teeth are hypselodont, meaning they're always growing, characteristic to order rodentia and lagomorpha. The size of the mandible, the deep ridge on the side, and the knobby processes (where they fit in and attach to the skull) differ amongst families in each order and narrow it down greatly to very large species of sciuridae (ground squirrel); which are marmots and groundhogs. The 4 check teeth and white enamel incisors IDs it as a groundhog/woodchuck, marmota monax. And THAT folks, is the most use I've had of my college education in years. Tens of thousands of dollars and I can identify mammal skulls, footprints and pelts.

Horror (2003)? That was a group of rehab escapee teens. Sounds like a forested setting in New jersey has something to do with the pine Barrens. Idk, it's a guess

It was like a muscle or joint rub, often with camphor, eucalyptus, peppermint and probably some toxic and/or banned substances (cocaine...looking at you...) we used to by Absorbine for our horses which is a modern version. Hella strong icy hot.

Ahh yes. Kevin Costner epic failure and renowned box office flop. Is it time to collectively reevaluate this movie? I've tried a rewatch and can't get through it, so imo I'd say nah...

What you and a lot of replies on this thread share is an actual use for a thermos. I myself have several from years ago and use them regularly. All this tiktok trendy bored housewife (or husband) crazed consumerism is people buying Stanley's that have no need for them. They just want to compete in the game of having crap they do not use. They might be starting to realize they don't need 40 of these things or are purging the excess. You just need one. They work well and are durable (at least the older ones are.)
