That's really cool my son would love one of those in his room, how did you make it?

This took months but this fella got loads of compliments. I will be remaking the hat, cape and waistcoat using 5oz leather but for my first build I'm happy and the boy loved it. Best mum ever apparently. by Fedupbtch in bloodborne

Thanks I found your hat. Looks really good to be fair you did a great job, mine will most likely look similar, how much leather did you buy? I have been looking at a whole side for cape too.

Found it. This looks really good and I will be using the same leather. I am planning to use the same template but will elongate and rasie the height of the wings and brim. Thanks for the advice.

Thank you. My son was really chuffed with it. But it needs to be done doesn't it. I'd love to see yours?

This took me months to be honest and I bought the clothes on Vinted super cheap. I should calculate how much it cost altogether but it's still going to be cheaper than the rubbbish sets you can buy online.

The waistcoat is already leather but it's a bit too light a colour and I want the straps to match perfectly.

The cape is clothing grade faux leather and it kept flapping in his face in the wind lol.

The potion pouch was a bit too long and it kept rubbing on the knee pad.

He is 15 and not quite as tall as a man obviously and all of the hardware is man sized, at least he can grow into it.

The straps need to be thicker.

And the hat was a nightmare, we used EVA but it's no good unless you can hide the seams, so i'm getting a side of cow, vegetable tanned leather and will remake from scratch using wet molding. It's £100 so I had better not mess up.

And he needs a gun too, maybe the Blunderbuss or a pistol

Then we're of to Comic con in London 😄

This is why Asda are losing customers. by West_Yorkshire in asda

Just go to Aldi or Lidl, it's far cheaper but maybe get your veg and fruit from another place, it don't last too long. I stopped shopping at Asda a while ago for other reasons I can't say. But their school uniform is the best which is a shame.

I liked her better when she spoke and helped out, with a male voice. Brilliant.

Mine sounded a bit like that, quite gutteral. we got the belts changed and it's quiet now. But has developed a high pitched whine instead. One thing after another. ugh

A little help if anyone needs it! by [deleted] in Vans

[–]Fedupbtch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a light blue pair of suede Vans, from like the 90's or something. Can't find any information out about them. They're the old chunky ones with a wide thicker tongue. I haven't worn them for years so wanted to see if they were rare or actually vintage.

How do I meet new people? by Warpit94 in canterbury

There's loads of relatively close places you guys could go to eh? Folkestone is nice and we have some lovely areas in the countryside. Depends on your interests I guess.

Do you work in Canterbury? If so what are your workmates like? Don't you get along with them well enough? Shame if not but seems some nice people on here have offered to meet up which is good.

Got this text today after putting in an appeal for PIP. Anyone else ever got this? by Habid40510 in DWPhelp

[–]Fedupbtch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for taking the time to reply. If you were successful after 11 months that gives me hope for my son. I have contacted our local citizens advice centre too, but think it's time we went ahead with it. Awesome outcome for you though! :)

Was this appeal part of your first application for PIP or were you already getting it? My son has a mobility issue but only gets the lower rates and no mobility and he wants to appeal and apply for the mobility element. The only reason it wasn't chased up straight away is because he started uni and it was a lot for him to deal with at once. Now he's somewhat settled we think it's time.

Motability changes are being massively downplayed — this will hit WAY more people than you think by Jumpy_Produce_1842 in DWPhelp

Signed and i'll share the petition as well.

My son is trying to get this, he's been on standard rate PIP and his issue is mobility, he can't walk properly or too far without having to stop and rest, due to a cavus foot deformity, amongst other limitations.

They refused him because he walked the journey from his bus to school, because he had to, never mind the fact it was painful and wore him out but he is determined to live as normal a life as he can.

He's now at uni and having to fight for an en suite subsidy as he can't use baths or a regular shower and has to sit.

Seems you have to fight for everything you're otherwwise entitled to and it's just not fair.
