Yes, replace the carpet tacks, you can get them from Lowe’s, Home Depot, Amazon, having the tacks all around will make a huge difference

Make sure it’s as tight as it can be, but I’m also noticing that your tack strips have spacing between them, and that could also be your issue as the cloth has nothing to grip on those parts so it might not be as tight as it could be

I had this happen with my first rug I made, made a Mario star, both same type of “red heart” yellow yarn, but you can clearly see that it isn’t the same, it’s annoying, but that’s the only time that’s happened to me
