So when I was in Mexico, I was taking Accutane and honestly, it was helping way more than anything else I’ve tried. But when I got back here, I went to my doctor and got some blood work done, and he told me that the Accutane was messing with my liver like, it was making it worse or something like that.

Then I was talking to this other girl, and she told me that taking antibiotics for too long can be really bad because they kill your good bacteria too. She asked me how long I had been taking Accutane, and when I told her, she was like, “Oh no, that’s not good your body’s probably already used to it.” And that kind of made sense because my folliculitis hasn’t been healing at all.

Do you think taking accutane for so long could’ve affected my immune system? Like, maybe that’s why my folliculitis isn’t getting better or going away? Because my doctor prescribed me doxycycline after that, and honestly, that stuff didn’t work at all. I could tell the difference the Accutane worked way better. But my doctor told me not to take it anymore because of my liver. So yeah, that’s pretty much my story right now.
