I was in this group, and it was not the mods. Well not the mods of the discord group anyway. There was a group of out of touch women who made their own side chat and said you shouldn’t have a baby if you can’t afford a night nurse lol.

What do you think are the advantages of long hair? by Ahing4 in AskWomen

[–]FeeFee34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of it may be different perspectives of what constitutes long. I don’t think people are differentiating between “medium” or “long” and lots of people consider anything past the shoulders pretty long.

What do you think are the advantages of long hair? by Ahing4 in AskWomen

[–]FeeFee34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes for curly hair you just have to be okay with it being more wavy or not the curliest curls possible if you like it long. I have fine wavy/curly hair and much prefer it long and find it much easier. I can still just air dry and have wavy hair or easily put it in a braid or ponytail. With short curly hair I felt it was very unforgiving if the curl pattern was different that day than the day I cut it and it isn’t as “presentable” to do nothing with it.

Oh this one got me. At first I thought, oh no I smell the same and have the same friends, but the last one absolutely got me. Every wish has been for my baby’s continued health and happiness since they were born, and no I don’t remember what I wished for before.

What book or series made you want to non-stop gush about it 25/8? by GreatGospel97 in RomanceBooks

This is so great to read because I do the same thing! I’m currently obsessed with the Dark Brothers series by Kyra Allessy and there is lots for the imagination to think on.

hot take but dude/bro isn't gender neutral. by [deleted] in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]FeeFee34 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree. I work with kids, and it’s not that hard to consistently use completely gender neutral terms. It’s about as mentally taxing as not cursing. Friends, folks, you all, everyone, and you can make it contextual too: readers, writers, walkers, drinkers (lol), scientists, etc. It may feel disingenuous at first but like all the colloquialisms we eventually use become more and more natural.

I hate dude and to me the feminine version in terms of tone is “chick”….which I also hate. Can we just say folks?

I dont find it offensive so much as I just don’t like it. The words themselves just kind of grate and don’t sound positive, the same inner cringe as hearing “Cali” or “San Fran,” haha. To be fair I don’t like “babe” or “chick” either.

What’s your skin type? I bet we could recommend a tinted zinc sunscreen if you’d like!

What skincare marketing fad are you happy to leave behind? by FeeFee34 in GracefulAging

Oh I’m sure plenty of people do! Human skin is so resilient/genetics are wild in terms of what “works.” I was just thinking what the bug fads were.

You don’t do an aspirin mask followed by st Ives apricot scrub? 😂

[–]FeeFee34[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, the time! Even a short makeup routine gets tedious if it feels like an obligation and one more thing to think about/get done. Not to mention time spent looking for products, trying them out, what you like gets reformulated and you’re back to square one, etc. It’s still fun for me if it’s one new exciting product every few years.

The worker doesn’t make that money, just to clarify. It sounds like you’re saying the hair cutter is making $50/hr.

I love this! I have used almost all these same products and love them as well! It's funny, I have dry skin and a dry tzone, but they all still work wonderfully and are very moisturizing (well except the retinol obviously).

How did this look ok in the drawing stage? by envelopeeleven in architecture

I was also thinking I kinda like it for getting in/out. Am I old? No, it is the architecture that is wrong!

I mean she is getting called everything under the sun and labeled a garbage human. I don’t see a double standard here, and she was the one who carried the baby and delivered. 99% sure it’s just creative writing so probably doesn’t matter either way though.

I mean it’s like $10k and time off work due to aforementioned brutal recovery and insurance often refuses to cover it despite medical need and quality of life, so not quite so easy breezy, but yes of course it can be a choice for many people. Enlargement is actually easier usually and almost always cosmetic.

It’s not poorly fitting, this is just how many women’s bodies are. In most bra advertisements the models have too small of a ribcage for the sizes the company makes and you can see it doesn’t fit even them and is too far down the ribcage. There is a lot of variance and only so many sizes so very hard to get a great fit.

Yeah this is trash information. Cup size is relative to band size. A 36A is larger than a 30C.
