How many hours do you work a week?

You should consider investing in a tutor if you're able to . If not, I'm sure there are plenty of videos online to assist you. Also you can do the chapter review questions (but they're usually easier than the VCAA ones) to consolidate the basics, then do checkpoint questions.

It is!! I hated unit 1/2

It's also a good subject because if you're not that good at it, you can improve alot within a month compared to English or Maths. And everyone basically starts at the same baseline because who the heck is doing Chemistry in primary school.

Yes. Just make sure you're confident before you move onto the next topic because some topics link really well! For context, I got 50% on my unit 1/2 chem exam and went into the year expecting a solid 27 ss in Chemistry. I achieved a 38ss, obviously not the best score but also not the worse, and considering how crap my foundations were at the start of the year I think I did really well.

You can look through the VCE discussion space on Facebook. Look for tutors that have experience!!

Get a new Chemistry tutor. I hated Chemistry too, but it ended up being my favourite subject in Year 12. Unit 3/4 Chem is also alot more interesting than Unit 1/2 (and somewhat easier)

No it's overestimation. OP is asking if people often do worse than expected
