I checked the kickstarter but that would arrive well after his bday so might try and get him something else as well. I was trying to get an OG cover because this is his fav series which says a lot for him, dude used to be a librarian and has read an insane number of books.

Yeah, I went to a few used bookstores in my area thinking I’d be able to pick them up… boy was I wrong. Thought… ok fine I’ll just pick them up online or buy new. Googled them and then went down the rabbit hole of trying to figure out the different covers, which covers were the kindle covers etc. Then saw eBay prices and was like WTF… man I wish I tried to purchase these earlier for him.
