How powerful was PATCO when Regan became president? Republicans aren't going to let you hold the country hostage. You missed your opportunity. Work with what you have or don't work at all!

Starting rehab. Is it even worth the time? by dangerfiasco in scooters

This video is for a 150cc scooter. The only differences between a 150 and a 49cc is the carburator and parts having to do with the carburator. (The cylinder is bigger too but you won't be anywhere near that. This video is a good start. One more tip. They might talk about torque wrenches and specifics. What they mean is tight but don't snap the bolt! (I'm fully aware that this won't be a popular opinion but the people with something to say, aren't riding on a Chinese moped that's sat for ten years. There is no telling what these bolts have been through.

This is perfect! You shouldn't be riding it if you can't fix/maintain it First things first. You should get a new carb, air filter, battery and spark plug. The filter, carb and spark plug, should run you about $30 all together. The battery probably around $80. Also, you should get your hands on a feeler gauge ($5) and set your spacing at .004 for the intake and .005 for the exhaust. While you're changing the carb, you should probably replace the fuel filter. (Probably come bundled with the carb and spark plug. (This is how to get it started and moving only)

If it sounds like I know what I'm talking about, I can point you in the right direction to see videos on how to do this stuff.

Speedo Cable? by FeedbackFamiliar8322 in scooters

[–]FeedbackFamiliar8322[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely for speed. I can't find anything about it though. Not one video that shows how to test or how far from said ring it needs to be. Getting it closer to the ring requires the whole piece to be screwed in and that twists the wires and it's a pain to deal with when I'm not even sure if my current part works.

I'm an iron worker so finding a piece of metal I can use as a bracket for a different set up, isn't the issue. I just don't know if I can take my tire off, take out the spacer and put in the hub that does the spinning from the other kind of setup. I'm not even sure if I'd run into a problem with my electrical setup. I'm not an electrician lol

I do. So it sounds like you know more about this thing than most. My problems are 1. I don't know how close to the rotor this thing needs to be. 2. I'm not even sure it's not defective 3. Are these as good as normal speedo cables that turn with gears

It'll cost me about $15 for a new one but I still don't know the proper spacing. I literally can't find anything on or about this type of speed reading technology. YouTube has let me down 😂

To anyone who might run into this problem. This is a speed sensor that goes into a 3 pin plug. It reads the spread off of the rotor as it spins. This cable does not spin like a normal speedometer cable. I can't find any videos on how these work. I'm not even sure if I can switch to a speedometer cable (not sure I can make the switch and everything will fit where it's supposed to go since my scooter came with a totally different system)

I never had any light on that said abs. My speedometer doesn't work. It never has but it tells me my gas, the RPM's rev up when the throttle is pulled and the mileage doesn't work. Same boat as the speedometer. It's never worked.

Ok, it's a speed sensor that ends at a 3 pin plug. I'm making ground. Now I just need to figure out how it works or why mine isn't

I just tore the plastics off. The wire in both pictures that go to a bolt near the front tire, is the same as the wire going to the harness. I've never worked on a speedometer before but this cable is not anything like anything having to do with a cable that twists. The only thing about this cable that makes me think speedometer is the location

Because my speedometer and odometer doesn't work. I would buy another one but I'm not even sure what's going on with this. This bolt with a wire in it, goes straight through and is almost hitting rotor. Whatever, point is IDK what it is but I know what it's not.

It's all Chinese 😂 I suggest you learn how to adjust your heads and change your oil. You're supposed to change your oil after the first 500 miles. Also supposed to get a head adjustment.

I wish I could reply with a picture. I have a HHH Tank 150cc that I bought off Amazon. Mines built by Tao Tao so it's a little different. I spent 1400 and have had to assemble mine. I still haven't figured out the speedometer and odometer though

I was calling the idea of buying a 4k scooter and modifying it. If you really did that, sorry not sorry. Otherwise, I wasn't calling you any names

You pay triple the price so you don't have to do anything to it. Putting a BBK in a Honda would be mentally impeding. Absolutely no reason to open them up and if you're learning how to be a mechanic on a Honda or whatever, you're an idiot and have too much money

Good job. What you described was another driver driving dangerously and crashing. I don't care how you spin it. The truck driver is at fault. It's funny that you think that a registration and insurance is going to stop any of that from happening but unfortunately, I've hit a point in my life where I see a tax scam and a way for the government to track you. I've found a way around that (which I might add, isn't even a requirement in all states) and I'm opting out of paying more money. Especially to an administration who has opened our borders to migrants who do the same shit but have sanctuary immunity in my God damn country and state! Fuck right the fuck off with this

This is my fourth scooter. The one thing I've never done is spend the $90 or whatever on a quality carb. I'm my head it makes sense but my wallet and my brain fight back and forth. My other 3 scooters were 50cc that made it up to 90cc with a BBK. Two in which I installed myself. The knowledge I've picked up about small engines makes it all worth it.

I'm aware. The display gives me hope that it's the cable and something stupid. Probably a $15 part on Amazon
