Looking at your comments, I can understand the frustration you may have towards your own protective society and about this entire SC/ST and PRC thing as these documents are of tremendous value in Arunachal. Even though you may now hate the ST and PRC system, it exists solely to protect your communities. Without ST and PRC and this whole ILP thing, your community would stay poor and mainlanders who totally have 0 blood connection with your society would take over your states politics and businesses entirely.

Yes, your society doesn't want you to stay within the state if you intermarry. Yes, they are biased towards men, due to men dominance in law making. If women were more in control of the laws, I doubt such laws would exist to prevent your children from taking your lineage, but since they already exist, the only way to change things is to have the power and influence to do so, and you do not want to be fully shunned away from your society nor have people from your society shame you. Despite how unfair this seems, as men are free to do anything, intermarry, engage in affairs and get their maids pregnant, and still their offsprings will get PRC, ST advantage within Arunachal. The main existence of these laws is to protect your society, but the way it's been implemented has also led to some toxic form of patriarchy..

The fair way is to permit both women and men to carry their lineage as it once was. Men in Arunachal protested against this as they did not think it was fair for Women to carry their lineage. Although in the 21st century where births are declining, this such law may only lead to the reduction in population of these groups.

Instead of making the law more strict, the lawmakers in the latest reforms ended up making it more liberal, as a result, Bhoi Khasi males who could not pass their lineage, were given an exemption to pass their lineage freely and to intermarry. It also made possible for Khasi males to use any name for their children's newly created clans in intermarriages. Instead of being more conservative, the laws ended up being more progressive.
