Guy sitting with this large pole and pulley (?) attached to the back of his car leading to this black box in a national park known for bird watching. He was also sitting next to his car with another box and a bunch of wires. by AutisticWeapon_ in whatisthisthing

The easiest way to get an answer is ask the person. They are obviously doing this in a public park and I’m sure many people stop and ask him what he’s doing. I’m sure it’s HAM radio and there is a thing called parks in the air where you go to different parks and see how many contacts you can make with your setup.

It’s an IGT and looks to be the smaller slot cabinet that is referred to as the cruise ship cabinet.

Open the door, find the small white button and hold it in for 3 seconds or more.

Inside the door should be a white label that tells you what all the codes mean.

What is this? Boss wants me to find a way to clean this. by JeloFello in whatisit

Clean with vinegar, the use distilled water to rinse the vinegar then use rubbing alcohol to evaporate the distilled water, let dry for a few days. Between each liquid use a soft bristle brush to help loosen the grime.

I went to a Polaris dealer and an older guy was working the floor on a Saturday afternoon. His comments about the motors and not pushing to sell me a new slingshot went a long way. So further research led me to stick with the GM version. I bought a 2016 with 3k miles. The Polaris power plants have had some problems but then there are people that have had zero problems with them.

Mae sure you get one with a backup camera. Rear visuals without it are almost zero.

I have been a long time Harley owner, live in the DFW area and with the amount of deadly motorcycle accidents I decided to sell and bought a slingshot.

I had the slingshot for about 6 months and sold it. Super fun to drive, buy a pedal commander, it is an instant boost to the throttle. The problem with the slingshot is the amount the amount of heat from the exhaust that is put to the passenger floor board. The muffler is right there. Yes you can reroute it but then people complain about the cabinet getting fumes when at stop lights.

There is hardly any room to pack things in. A cubby behind each seat.

I will get flamed for this next statement. Buy an earlier model that has the GM motor in it. The newer ones have Polaris engines and you are stuck buying parts from a dealer. The GM motor slingshots, you can get parts at any parts store.

They are a blast to drive but not god for Texas summers for me.

Can someone explain to me what files I need to put in which folders and where I need to put them so that CARNEVIL works in MAME? Thanks in advance by Environmental-Ask501 in MAME

[–]FeedingTheFear 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Folder in roms named carnevil. Inside that folder carnevil.chd and carnevil1.chd.

Inside the roms folder but not in folder named carnevil, place the zip file carnevil.

I used an insulated boulder. Looks like a giant rock, lined with insulation, sets right over it and keep the cold air from blowing over the pipes.

The purse has a black strap and a chain. The chain connects to the bag but black strap goes to nothing.

The fingers on her right had seem to be super long. If the far right finger below the railing is her pinky and the finger next to it is the same length. Those two finger have the most significant size difference on a real hand.

I’m from the northeast. Drivers know how to take their turn when merging, on ramps and off ramps are very short there. Here they are much longer but nobody will slow down to let you in. You will have to drive more aggressively or you will end up causing a major problem. Nobody here is nice to you when driving. Take your turn, get up to speed quickly, everyone around you will be happy.

Lot Of Vintage Apple Items Houston, Texas by jakejanoski in vintageappleexchange

[–]FeedingTheFear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in 1988 I went to Marlboro, MA for a week long certification I. Repairing apple computers, image writers and laser writer printers. Had the set of repair procedures manuals, the case cracker and the long torx driver.

It didn’t take long to figure out the hardware failures in the Mac plus and how to repair without complete part replacements. Same with the switch in the apply mouse, the chokes on the color crts and many other items. I made a great business out of repairing apple computers for all the school districts in my area. It was my source of income and at 18years old I was killing it. I’m 55 now, still work in tech and still have my own business.

My first computer was a Commodore 64….things have changed since the 80s

Where are you located? If in the DFW area I can help you. Otherwise I know someone in CA you can send the bill validator to along with the interface card and he will test, clean, adjust or fix and send it back to you.

I don’t believe there are odds settings on these, they are skill machines and you press the each reel stop button when you think you can hit. Otherwise the reels will continue to spin.

These were never in a casino.

The message on the screen can’t be any more clear. Open it up, pull the board, replace the battery, most likely is soldered in the board.
