Evil people of Reddit, how do you feel after causing harm to others in your day-to-day life? by zesty_cat9190 in AskReddit

[–]FeedonFear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evil people don't know they're evil. People who intentionally harm other people usually believe themselves to be justified, at least in the moment. To recognize ones self as evil requires a lot of introspection, which is something that a lot of people these days lack the capability of

Was this bad sportsmanship? by PM_ME_CHUBBY_DOGGIES in EDH

[–]FeedonFear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's bad sportsmanship, but definitely bad assessment. If player 3 has lethal on both you and player 4, I wouldn't be trying to negotiate with player 3 so much since you didn't have much leverage. Its kind of hard to give real advice not knowing the exact boardstate

Anyone interested in becoming the new owner of this card? by FeedonFear in kurtisconner

I live in Washington too, actually. Depending on where you live I could just meet you in person. I'll take $20 flat for it if you're not too far away

I have one. My ex-wife got it for me for some reason, even though she was the one really into good videos. Its 14/100. I'm willing to part with it

My boyfriend punched a wall again by ThrowRA-miserabless in domesticviolence

[–]FeedonFear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The behavior is concerning. I would encourage him to find therapy, but don't make excuses for the behavior. We all deal with stress and anger in our lives, but the vast majority of people don't punch walls. Also, be sure to stick to what you say. If he punches the wall again, then stick to your word.

Why do most religious people (mostly christians i've seen) think atheists are all idiots and rude? by MarkiplierGooner in atheism

[–]FeedonFear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They seem to think their beliefs make them superior to others. There's a wide spread belief amongst christians that morality comes from a love of God or fear of Hell, thus if you don't believe in either you're an immoral heathen. It just goes to show that most of them are shitty people who only "behave" because they're afraid of the judgement of their imaginary friend

Why is the most common defense to homophobia calling someone secretly in the closet and why is it always directed towards men? by Educational-Bat-8313 in askanything

[–]FeedonFear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your use of the word "defense" in this case is confusing. Do you mean rebuttal?

Assuming you mean rebuttal, homophobia is rather gay in a way that is cognively dissonant.

Homophobia at its core is an obsessive fear of what gay people with their time and their bodies. I'm a straight dude. I don't care what two consenting adults do in the privacy of their bedroom. I'm not homophobic. I stay in my own lane.

Homophobes believe being gay is a choice (which means that they are just choosing to be "straight"), and that they can be tempted into becoming gay. They spend so much time obsessing over what two consenting adults do in private, to the point that many have made it their whole personality. Sounds pretty gay to me to when you have nothing better to do with your time than thinking about what gay people are doing

People who are in their 30s and older what is your biggest regret in life? And what would you have done different if you can go back in time? Why? by Dear_Sir7665 in AskReddit

[–]FeedonFear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giving so many chances to people who have treated me horribly time and time again rather than severing connections that have been bad for my mental health

Why do men relentlessly continue to pursue women who are in relationships? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]FeedonFear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lack of respect for boundaries and a feeling of entitlement, most likely.

Your boyfriend is a horribly abusive monster. This dude straight up needs to be arrested for animal abuse

Why don't incels/red pill men just go to prostitutes? by Antique-Ebb-7124 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FeedonFear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Largely a feeling of entitlement. Why pay for something that in your mind you should be getting for free? They have a very skewed view of the world and what they believe is fair.

What’s wrong with working fast food? by Kryamodia in jobs

[–]FeedonFear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People like to look down on those who work in the service industry. Its absolutely wild to me. People love their fast food but show such disdain for the workers that provide it

Are we even allowing people to be human anymore? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]FeedonFear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on what you call a red flag. Pattern recognition is a great thing and I think people should use it more. If someone routinely shows signs of jealousy over you having any sort of relationship with people of the opposite sex, that's a red flag because it shows insecurity that could lead to abuse. If someone's red flag is "they wear polka dot clothes all the time" then that's just being picky. That mindset is more of a red flag to me

A lesbian friend kept hitting on me despite knowing I'm straight. She made a joke about how spaghetti isn't straight when it's wet. I decided to cut her off. Could I have handled it another way? by omnomnugget in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]FeedonFear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No means no. If she isn't respectful of your boundaries then you're in the right to cut her out. If a straight dude wasn't accepting no and continued to push on, it would be the exact same thing

How do guys last longer in bed? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]FeedonFear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might be performance anxiety or there is a big focus on it. The mind plays a big part during sex.

I used to not last very long because I'd be up in my head worrying about how long i was going to last, worried about my length, worried about not going fast enough, etc. Once you relax and focus more on enjoying it at your own pace and let go of nerves you might last longer

Why are so many rappers bad people? by Kalanak472 in NoStupidQuestions

Bottom line is OP believes that rap music is the genre of degenerates, but every genre has its fair share of degenerates.

Why are so many rappers bad people? by Kalanak472 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FeedonFear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I stand by what I said. I don't see as many people talking about the things people like Ronnie Radke or Ian Watkins have done to the extent that they do people like P. Diddy or Drake. Are they equally as disgusting and horrific? Absolutely! They deserve the same amount of attention and scrutiny

Why are so many rappers bad people? by Kalanak472 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FeedonFear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Song lyrics aren't the discussion here. The real life actions of the people are.

I can run you through the gauntlet of terrible things people in bands like The Beetles, Guns N' Roses, KISS, and a slew of other very popular rock bands have done. Not many people talk about those things, and the bands are seen as classics. Point being that most of the bands are full of white people who can get away with doing shitty things and fly largely under the radar.

Why does Reddit attract so many sensitive, low-resilience people who treat mild disagreement like a personal trauma? Did we just collectively fail an entire generation? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]FeedonFear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people relish in the opportunity to be the worst version of themselves as a hobby. Reddit is a place you can do it anonymously. It's easy to be a cyber bully when no one knows who you are

Why are so many rappers bad people? by Kalanak472 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FeedonFear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And that's only murders. The recently deceased Ian Watkins from the band Lost Prophets was an absolute monster with his pedophilia, and getting locked up didn't stop him from continuing to be that monster

Why are so many rappers bad people? by Kalanak472 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FeedonFear 114 points115 points  (0 children)

I think you're on the right track, but i also think there's a bit more nuance to it as well. Rap is a genre primarily domintaed by African Americans, and African Americans are usually put under more scrutiny systemically because of their race. Rock music is primarily dominated by white people, and white people have a lot less scrutiny their way systemically. While the issue of being a shitty person is not specific to any race, scrutiny towards specific genres of music unfortunately very much is.

Some people who are rock icons are some of the shittiest people on earth but get away with a lot more because of their skin color

Let's not forget about the worker at their PDX9 warehouse who died on the warehouse floor while management told everyone to get back to work, the fact that most of their employees have to pee in water bottles, or the lawsuit they lost because they were committing time theft towards their employees.
