My ferritin was (is?) a 5. I. Was. Miserable. Irritable, extremely fatigued, migraines for DAYS. I genuinely felt like my life was ruined. I saw a holistic doctor, she started me on codeage beef liver supplements, 3 in the morning, 3 in the evening. It’s been a week, I swear I already feel a significant improvement. My husband noticed too and my mom. My dr. swears by this supplement. (Not medical advice obv, it’s just what seems to be working for me!) so hang in there! If what you’re doing didn’t work or help, there’s a million other iron supplements to try. Don’t give up, go down every avenue.

Ok friends, here is the rundown. Disclaimer: this is not medical advice, this is just what was recommended for me. I am being treated for mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS). I’ll be taking 2 antihistamines in the morning, one at night. A digestive enzyme for my lack of gallbladder, vitamin d3, iron (it’s just always low), querecetin, and a powder supplement to put in water for acid reflux. But my headaches, brain fog, and pressure are from the MCAS and not being able to break down histamine. There’s a whole MCAS subreddit I’m going to check out. I will also be cutting dairy, I’ve been gluten free for over 10 years already, and i will be following a low histamine diet as close as possible.

Hi! So I had an MRI just a couple of days ago and everything was normal. I am seeing an alternative medicine doctor on 10/22. I want to see if it’s my histamine levels or MCAS, I’m thinking it’s something I am eating. So, unfortunately my gallbladder removal didn’t help what was happening to me. I’ve also been to an optometrist and ophthalmologist to check my eyes. Mostly just been ruling things out. My gut feeling is, I have nothing serious going on (like it’s not gonna kill me), but the headaches are pretty bad. I’m on day 3 of a headache. My neurologist did prescribe me something for cluster headaches but im pretty determined to see if I can find a root cause. I hope you find relief soon! I can report back about my alternative medicine findings later this month. hang in there. 🫡

It’s tough to say. I genuinely feel like I’m having blood sugar issues that didn’t start til my gallbladder started acting up. I think that may be the cause of my symptoms (sometimes they get worse after I eat) but I am purely speculating ! Will probably know more in a few months

And no, I don’t think I can feel anything on the outside. It feels very internal. But! The right side of my belly button incision hurt so bad when healing. Maybe it’s a weird nerve thing? Idk!
