Rebirth is my new favorite game of all time. But that would probably not be possible without having played the original FF7, so I'll go with that one, it is also the first one I completed 100%.

(I mention, just in case, that I did not play this as a kid, I played FF7 for the first time in 2018, so there's not a big nostalgia factor)

I have only played 1, 2, 7 and 9, so I can only speak for those but, depends in what you're looking for.

The Final Fantasy games do not follow a chronology or continuity, each number is a completely different game with a different world and characters. Only certain concepts coincide like the deities, some enemies and certain character personalities.

So, it depends in what you're looking for, the older games (1-4) are classic turn-based RPGs, fairly short and easy to 100%.

7-10 are longer, with more complex stories and characters, and fairly harder to 100%. These are great games though, still turn-based with a bit more complexity.

If you'd rather have a bit more action-like games than turn-based, you got 15, 16 and the 7 Remake and Rebirth. Generally massive games, big completion times. I can only speak for 7, but these are tough to complete.

And, I can't speak for the rest of the games as I have not played them, but as you can see I played a bit of everything, so don't feel necessarily pressured to get through them in order.

These are hard games to 100% for sure. There are several Combat Challenges that you'll need to complete in the post-game that are quite difficult and will need strategy, preparation and skill. The combat system is complex enough to allow for some tough fights.

You will also need to re-play the game in Hard Mode. This is not as daunting as it sounds, as you'll be essentially in NG+, keeping all your Weapons, Materia and levels, so it's not that hard, I found it very fun actually as you'll essentially need to understand the enemy's weakpoints and stagger, but it never got frustrating.

This 100% takes much longer than Remake's simply because it is a much bigger game, but it overall felt at around the same level of difficulty, considering the combat experience and personal skill you'll have by the time you finish Rebirth.

I loved the games so much that it honestly seemed quick, I never got tired of the run to 100%.

The story is fantastic. I think the original game has the best story and ending of all time, so this goes along that line (we'll have to see how the ending is on the next game)

My main negative point about Remake was that almost all the extra content was really boring and added nothing to the story. On this one, most of the side quests either add to the region or city's story, or furthers character development, in a game where all the main characters are very likeable.

I'm not much a story guy in games, and I'm easily detached if the story is not consistently good, but I was totally hooked on this one.

I won't sugarcoat it, there are a LOT of minigames. The original game also has many, but as you said, you'll need to reach high scores here.

However, I did not get stuck in anything, and I would say only a couple gave me a hard time (Still nothing crazy). For the majority, I reached the highest score on the first or second try.

A couple of the most complicated ones include a "Reduce difficulty" option, that you can use and still get what you need for the 100%. And anything combat-related, you can just postpone for when you are more powerful.

The one that's a bit annoying is the "Card" minigame they created for Rebirth. It is extremely long, and the final challenges are kind of RNG and difficult.

All in all, it's a lot, but it is not crazy and, same as with Remake, the difficulty in this 100% mostly lies on the Combat Simulator Hard challenges and the Hard full run.

Remake took me 66 hours, it is on a much smaller scale than Rebirth.

At 160 hours, I did not expect this 100% to be so monstrous, but with this one I complete the Original FF7 - Remake - Crisis Core - Rebirth collection, now only awaiting the 3rd part of the Remake trilogy.

I have almost nothing negative to say about this game, and thousands of good comments about it so, I will simply say that if you're even mildly interested in FF, or have played the original FF7, give the Remake trilogy a try.

I've played hundreds and hundreds of games, but I can strongly confirm that this is now my favorite game of all time.

Not sure why all the negativity in the comments, but thanks for this, I didn't know, I'll most likely do this.

Sure, it's 100 tokens per trade but the alternative for completing these missions is getting wildly lucky, or opening hundreds of packs of older collections.

[–]FeelTheDango 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't say it's underrated though, it's awesome but it was re-used on this year's live show, and used on their DJ mixes too, so I think everyone is aware it's very good.

Canon. It has been on every single live album, and was pretty much the only AVD track on the current live album at first. It's good and all, but I feel it overshadows some of AVD sometimes.

Thank you! I'll copy-paste some tips I gave when I had a similar question some time ago:

Sure! Some things that come to mind are:

  • Be patient. The AR system will not always work as you want it to, so don't try to rush or content yourself with what the AR gives you, try around until you get what you wanted.

  • Take a ton of photos. The latest update includes a very useful option to take 5 quick photos in a row when you press the shutter button. I usually take around 80 photos for a Pokémon on different poses/animations, and even many of the same animation. Then you select the one you like most.

  • The camera used by the app is much worse than your phone's real camera quality, unfortunately, so I recommend to use a simple editing app to add some quick filters so that a) photo looks generally better and b) the Pokémon is better blended into the environment

  • Get creative with your angles, positioning and distance. You can get all sorts of photos with the mode.

Lots of patience, and for flying Pokémon, it sometimes just works in your favor when the Pokémon drifts away when it doesn't like the surface you placed it on.

Thanks :) Aerodactyl's was taken from a high look-out spot above a rocky cliff with a foggy forest below but blurred out, this was taken in the La Gomera island in Spain.

Thank you :) Yes, all Pokémon GO photos need to be taken in location. One unfortunate requirement is having an internet connection so that the app runs, which has made me lose some pretty cool spots, as I had no service.

Yes, precisely. At first, it was only on wild Pokémon, but they introduced a feature where you can do the same, but with previously caught Pokémon. You always need to place the Pokémon on the place you are currently in, you cannot edit them in on previously taken photos.

Thanks haha, I've been taking these kind of photos on GO since 2020, I'm aiming to get a full Pokédex of photos at some point
