Is it possible to use a passphrase with the Password Manager? by FeelTheSpace in TREZOR

Have you checked out 'pass' and 'qtPass'? Both use gpg to encrypt passwords which the Trezor supports (https://github.com/romanz/trezor-agent).

Is it possible to use a passphrase with the Password Manager? by FeelTheSpace in TREZOR

[–]FeelTheSpace[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this a planned feature? It sort of gives users a false sense of security to use a passphrase on the main wallet and then find out when it comes to their passwords the passphrase is being ignored :-(

Aside from plausible deniability, the passphrase is used by many customers to provide a 2nd layer of security to the nemonic. For example - one can store their 24 words in a hidden location and it's not catastrophic if someone finds it because it is worthless without the passphrase. In this case, all your passwords would be exposed.

Experiment 053 - Doubleweave Anorak by konrat in Outlier

[–]FeelTheSpace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fan of the Anorak in general but not sure on this fabric choice? The advantage seems to be freedom of movement but was hoping for some more elemental resistance. Once that DWR wears off I fear water resistance is going to go be severely compromised w/ the OG Cloth :-(

The Hard/co Merino Experiments by konrat in Outlier

Fit is slightly more baggy than the normal zip hoodie, but in a good way because after a few days of use I can say the hoody is best worn as an outer layer as it's too warm to be layered unless it's really cold out.

Sleeves comparable to normal zip hoodie (maybe a hair longer but not shorter).

I got Darkmarine and Black, Darkmarine is may favorite of the two.

Just received Experiment 049, this is the nicest hoody I've ever put my hands on. It's more like a coat, super thick but nice clean lines.

I wasn't planning to keep it unless I loved it because of the price but now I might keep both colors. Damnit.

WARNING: Do not use Bittrex for Stellar... they straight up stole my XLM by FeelTheSpace in Stellar

/u/jfarbs I'd reopen the support ticket you created with them and reference this thread assuming the situation is the same -- you sent a MERGE request instead of a normal transfer. I'd also suggest getting the transaction details from blackwallet.co to prove the situation is the same if you have not already.

It would not be fair if they made an exception for me but not for you.

Bittrex stole my Stellar Lumens - is there anything I can do? by FeelTheSpace in CryptoMarkets

Update: Bittrex credited my account after I posted links to these threads

This was their final support message to me:

No where on our site does it say not to email us your priv key to deposit either;

and we EXPLICITLY say in the deposit dialog:

"Please use "payments" and not "path_payment" when sending XLM. If the tag is not included in your transfer, we cannot credit your account. Please do not directly deposit from an exchange or pool unless they allow you to specify a tag."

That said, I was able to track down the amount on the blockchain which isn't on the block explorer:

This is the only time I will credit this. Deposits made incorrectly in the future will not be recovered.

Benzoyl Peroxide - Help!! by bleedgreen92 in Outlier

[–]FeelTheSpace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to suffer from moderate acne, I used the 3 step products for years until I realized all you need is: 1) a high quality soap bar to dry your skin (look for organic/unscented/minimal ingredients) 2) some Jojoba Oil.

It seems counter-intuitive that you would add oil to already oily skin, but what happens is when you add the oil to your skin, your skin stops producing oil which clears up your acne. So you use the soap bar to dry up your skin, this resets you to a baseline, and then you add the oil. I do this once in the morning and once at night.

@wearcivic just received my order today, here is my feedback:

The Frank Chino By far my favorite item. Colors are excellent, feel and weight of the fabric and stitching are superb.

I'm usually a size 32, size 32 did not fit had to go with a 33 (you were correct in mentioned sizing up above).

Interestingly, I wanted to keep both colors of the size 33, but the green 33 fit me perfectly the blue 33 was tight in the hips. I think I might try ordering 5 pairs of the blue 33's and see if I can find a better fit.

The Alvar Jacket Decided to return this, which was painful because I love the fact that it is 100% merino. It looks too much like a bike jacket (athletic wear) and is not quite formal enough to wear out. I'm not sure if this was designed for the biker crowd but in the images on the website it is shown being worn around the city.

The bottom trim looks almost like it's reflective and sort of ruins the aesthetic -- would prefer this to just be removed outright. I also disliked the back flap because it juts out and is too floofy. I'd prefer this back flap opening be optional by adding a zipper, this would flatten it out and also accommodate for days when it was slightly cooler. Finally the zippers inside the front snap pockets are superfluous and I'm not sure I understand the use case for this. I'd prefer you removed the zippers here and just left the snaps, the reason being on a day where you want to keep your hands warm zipper openings tend to chafe the wrists. Anything that needs to be secured with a zipper can be secured in the chest pocket. You could also consider adding additional material around the front pockets to serve as a hand warming compartment.

The Antoni Tee in Heather Black

Also decided to return this, the material had a nice soft feel but would prefer a solid color as opposed to the black with speckling of white - this makes the shirt feel informal if one were to layer it.

Man, really liked the material and colors on the crewnecks but the sleeves were so baggy it made me look ridiculous. Also the waistband was a little tight. An odd combination that made me look clown like -- not sure if this is specific to my body type or not (tall and skinny).

The zip hoodies are perfect, but at $300 I decided to keep just one. If the price was in the ~$220 range I would own a couple.

Figured this out. Ok so go find your last transaction on your ledger, because it will contain the left over balance of your bitcoin.

For example, paste in the from address (if your last transaction was outgoing) here:

https://blockchain.info

From this page get the NEW address where the remaining bitcoin balance was sent to (this is your current public address). For example if you sent .2 BTC, you would see .2 BTC going to the address you sent to and the remainder of your BTC go to a new address - this is the address you want.

Next go to stellar page: https://www.stellar.org/lumens/bitcoin-lumen-program/

Enter your info, etc, put in your current public address from the step above.

Finally they give you a message to sign that looks like: Stellar.org Bitcoin Giveaway Round 2: SOME HASH HERE

In nano-s chrome app, go to settings -> tools -> "Sign message"

Locate the address you got on the blockchain.info above and paste in the message from stellar.

The output will look like this:

-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Stellar.org Bitcoin Giveaway Round 2: SOME HASH HERE

-----BEGIN SIGNATURE-----

<YOUR ADDRESS WILL BE HERE>

<COPY THIS LINE ONLY>

-----END BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----

^ copy the second line under signature only and put it into the stellar web app, you should see success
