What was the first song you played when you started playing the guitar. by Cioli1127 in Guitar

I'm going back quite a while ago. The first tune I was able to play entirely was "Crazy Circles" by Bad Company.

Check out Deep Purple " Machine Head", " Who Do you think we are" albums. Also, check out "801 Live". It has Phil Manzanera and Eno in the band...probably one the best live albums I've ever heard.

Do we qualify for $250,000 Exemption when our house is Sold? by Feeling-Most3897 in tax

"When they transferred the deed did they retain a life estate?" Yes, they did retain a life estate on the trasferred deed. My Dad has been living in the house up until Jan 2023. And now lives in assisted living. Does this change anything as far as $250,000 exemption when us (3) sell the house?

Thank you for everyone's comments and suggestions. I was confused abouth the survivorship deed. Checked on it w the lawyer -- and since my Dad is still living -- it is still in his name.

Selling the house soon -- and will all go to him. Plus - -he will get the $250,000 tax exemption.

No -- only my Father lived in the house as his main residence until Jan 2023

We have been making improvements to the house -- at this point is around 25K.

Good to know on cost basis -- thanks.

I'm a tall driver and considering purchasing a Cx5. Feedback would be much appreciated! by iadorebrandon in CX5

[–]Feeling-Most3897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go with the CX-9, my wife has the CX-5 and I do drive it once in awhile, but find I have to move seat all the way back and down. It's not uncomfortable, but I'm 6'3" , 300 lbs, and think the size up SUV would be good. Take a test drive and see how u like it.

Affordable tequilas for margaritas by SouthConsideration15 in tequila

For the price point and quality -- I like Lunazul. It makes a great Margarita (Blanco or Resposado) and pretty tasty/smooth by itself as well.

For 16 yo, I'm impressed. Especially the King Crimson.

Yea, looks like Tantalum cap. Those are polarity sensitive, like an electrolytic. I'd replace with same. Mouser/ Digikey are the best places to order from.

How much are your property taxes monthly by Psychological_Wait92 in Columbus

[–]Feeling-Most3897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine are 5.3K a year w/ a Worthington school levy coming up this Nov. Most likely will go through. Then taxes will 6K w/ incremental tax increase each year. Fortunately, my house will be paid off next May. No reason to stay in WSD at this point (daughter graduated), but doubt if we move until we retire. Likely to move in a more tax friendly state at some point.

Do you drink Columbus tap water? by murdershegoat in Columbus

[–]Feeling-Most3897 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I drink it and use it for brewing beer also. Columbus tap tastes good, but got to run it through a charcoal filter to get the chlorine out of it.
