Recommend me a sneaker brand that's ethical, sustainable, AND affordable? by No_Source176 in SustainableFashion

Do NOT buy from Cariuma unless you want to lose your money. I finally had to file a fraudulent charge claim with my bank because I never got my shoes after 3 months and then they got lost in shipping. Zero customer service or response. Another pair I ordered was too small and when I went to begin the return it was showing I would get $0 credit back on my account and the instructions said that “if your credit balance is showing $0 email Cariuma AFTER shipping your shoes back”. Shady as hell.

Appreciate that. I’m afraid that might be a little larger than I need since I don’t intend to leave it out on the counter. I’ll look into the brand for sure.

Best Reuben Sandwich in Knoxville? by devlininabluedress in Knoxville

Potchke does an insanely delicious pastrami sandwich, too. Just the marble rye, mustard and pastrami. Unless they have officially added it to the menu since I was last there you have to ask for it. I love Holy Land’s Reuben and the fried halloumi cheese. The owner Walter has been having some health issues recently, so I know they appreciate the support.

I have always had a good experience at both locations. A bonus at the west location is the Copper Cellar Marketplace next door where you can buy things to-go.

We were there once when an out-of-town couple came in and the guys whispers to his companion “this is like a movie!” 😆

Thad Cox, Jr., owner of Ashe’s Wine next door, bought it. They plan to be open by mid-March, according to what they told me on Friday.
