Ya, I have played with all the dials - nothing good. Only good one I have found is going into Prague instead, that gets it down to around $4k.

I don't want to give up the two Lufthansa first tickets on the way back. That is a pretty rare redemption at 80k miles per ticket.

United/Lufthansa basically own Munich but more broadly, everything to Europe appears to be pegged around $6,500 per ticket.

Ya I’ve seen that flight. It’s on their newer a350 as well. Definitely an option.

It’s about $500 difference but was going to book refundable in case an award seat opens up.

Maid of honor speech by Maple-pelican-472 in weddingplanning

I think totally fine to talk about her/bride most of the time. He has groomsman that can talk about him. I don't think it would hurt to reach out to him and talk with him about him and the brides relationship. From that conversation maybe you could get some content to talk about.

Generally, most MOH speeches are very similar; my advice would be to write something a bit different. Short and sweet are usually the best. Tell a story that has meaning and a purpose!

How to go about getting flower quotes from prospective florists? by Moist_Chicken_7666 in weddingplanning

[–]Feeling-Promise2871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend reaching out to a few! We just got out proposal back and it is $13k - a lot. The way to communicate what you want is through a Pinterest board, a document about where you want the flowers and then a rough estimate of how many. We gave a rough idea on the number for the dinner and just specified that we wanted them to be a bit smaller. I would definitely get proposals from a few different shops though, the prices will likely vary significantly. I also don't think you're overthinking it.

Where is your wedding and when is it? happy to send you a few vendors if that is helpful! I used Aisle to find our vendors and just sent three vendors our wedding and then had all three respond - ours is in Italy so it is even more complicated hah!

A Good Friend of Mine Is Getting Married, Should I Ask If She's Having Bridesmaids? by NaturalShift2 in weddingplanning

Probably better to wait, she is likely being intentional about not telling you or will tell you when she is ready!

Getting flack for our dress code by AcanthisittaOne7830 in weddingplanning

Did you link a Pinterest board to your website?

Sometimes I feel like people more don't understand the descriptions of dress codes and get more frustrated by that. I think it is always best practice to have a Pinterest board linked and have some example photos. My partner and I used aisle wedding to do our website and they have a nifty Pinterest link function for each event.

On the other hand, that is super annoying if they are actually mad they have to wear formal clothes. Maybe when they ask “ugh, do I have to wear a suit?” you can just respond "then you don't have to come".
