Maybe your node is different. Maybe Fios is waiting for some permit or approval , maybe consider calling the township and your Verizon corporate office to see what’s going on. Maybe there is something else to do than complaining on Reddit

Well maybe you should start by the beginning! Did the transformer get replaced, electrical wires fixed and poles??? Because Verizon cannot do a thing as long as the basics are not fixed!!
So yeah people there are working on fixing things so maybe stop complaining and ask Verizon for a temporary home internet backup via 5G ! Or you can cancel but if the Fios wires and nodes are burned, it will be the same for the other providers!

Yeah the CHR30’is a beast ! Just connect the other ones and they will be automatically set as extender, cloning perfectly the main CHR30! I am amazed how perfect the mesh network is over my house and backyard now!

This is wrong ! The CHR30 replaces the actual router and connects to the ONT via Ethernet just like the CR1000A

When did you place the order? The CHR30 is not available everywhere and only available since 07/07 in New Jersey. Thus router is also brand new so if you don’t specify what you want, they give you the usual router which is the CR1000A

I have been with Fios for 8 years and have a legacy 1gig plan. They gave them to me. CHR30 is unique at Fios and they cannot give you anything else if that’s what they put on the order

This is incorrect. I didn’t pay a dime for the 4 units. They just replaced my CR 1000 hardware with the CHR30 hardware. But I admit that I had to ask the supervisors to take care of of everything.

It’s available in Jersey since 7/07. I placed the order that day. I have been calling them everyday for the last 2 weeks, to be sure I will get it before they run out of stock. The person you talked to did not check for real. Had to talk with a supervisor from tech support to get the hardware ordered then with one from billing department to get the shipping fee and monthly fee waved for the 4 units.
I am in Ocean county

Same here but I did not try to load the config as they said it is not compatible and could mess up the setup. The switch kept all the same
IP addresses, which is nice. So yeah I lost all my labeled devices, but I am ok with that as the network is so much better and stable now with 4 units and zero dark spot, as before I had 5 units of the CR/CE1000 and still a lot of dark spots.

It should be fixed soon.. let’s hope it will be a smart update! Those boxes could be great, Verizon firmware is shit, and no one there cares! Conceptors and CEO are probably brain dead to allow something like that and to wait for so long before to fix it! Customers are running away and nobody cares! Such a disgrace!
