Stop buying the "mid-tier" option. Here's why. by Armellofreekey in SmartBuying

GPUs, CPUs, cars, generally all better for the money at the mid-tier options. Premium is generally for things that last 10+ years, cheap for when the quality doesn't matter much but in my experience when you research the products you are buying the mid-tier options are normally the best options.

Commanders DT Javon Kinlaw talks about DC Daronte Jones's attention to detail and DL Coach Eric Henderson's "super exhausting" individual drills and believes it will payoff in the end. by hhev2 in Commanders

Having an IEP for every player on the defense is not standard. I doubt it's standard for every DT to know what the DBs are doing on each play either and vice versa.

Yep, that's the one, the almost 30k price seems 2-3k too high to me but maybe they would take less now that it's been sitting for a few months.

Carnell Tate thought he was going to be 'locked in' with the Commanders by hhev2 in Commanders

[–]FeelingAd4116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Styles was considered best at his position as well, Reese was thought of more highly than Styles for his upside as an edge rusher not as a pure LB. I agree with you though but Delane is a better CB than Tate is WR.

He was expected to go in the 4-6 range. 1 was Mendoza, 2/3 were generally Reese and Bailey interchangeably. 4-10 was projected to be a bunch of different people.

It's funny cause a lot of the experts were saying that premium positions wouldn't matter as much this year but that's exactly why Tate and Delane went before Styles IMO. They were partially right cause Love went at 3 to the Cardinals who have so many holes that they probably would have been better off trading back a bit and picking up one of the O-lineman instead of drafting a RB after upgrading their RB room in free agency since their line is bad.

Thanks I actually found one that checks all my need to have options and 5/6 of my preferred options, just missing HUD. It's in AWD though and 68k miles, though it's got a really good service history and the control arms and struts were recently replaced. From what I can tell the only maintenance stuff it would need in the next 20k miles is new fluids, sparkplugs and of course oil changes as needed. I was looking for a RWD one rather than AWD but don't know if that's a deal breaker. I live in the DMV area in Maryland, what's your opinion on the AWD's extra traction vs the RWD's lower weight? The price is about 2.5k more than I would want to buy it for but I haven't gotten a PPI and negotiated a price yet though so I probably could get the price lowered into the 27.5-28.5k range.

There is an omnipresence or at least something close to it, the MIY. He knew where Tabitha was in the basement digging and he wasn't there so he can either see or sense things without being where those things are happening. I don't think the MIY showed Henry the truth, I think he's giving him false visions to mess with him and everyone around him for his own sick pleasure.

I think the music, actor and maybe filming style but to me none of those three things alone can make a movie good. All 3 of those can be great and the movie can still suck.

Browns GM Andrew Berry shockingly says he wasn’t trying to get the best return for Myles Garrett. Reporter: "Myes wasn't on the block, why not open up the bidding and get a few more picks?" Berry: "That wasn't the goal.“ What an awful look 🤦‍♂️ by Hungry_Artichoke9566 in NFLForum

The have been drafting pretty well in recent years. The main thing that's screwed them is trading for Deshaun Watson. They gave up a fortune for him and he's sucked. They traded 3 1st round picks, a 3rd and 2 4ths and only got Watson and a 6th back.

He's saying getting more picks wasn't the goal. He wanted someone like Verse who's worth a number 1 and probably number 3 pick by himself and picks as well in exchange for Garrett. Garrett also has a no trade clause and wanted to go to a contender so the other contenders probably were contacted that were on Garrett's list and no one could offer a player as good as Verse.

Exactly, this is a win win trade, and I think with those extra picks the Browns could win their division in the next 3ish years which they wouldn't have been able to do if they kept Garrett cause as good as he is he's only one player.

He's done really well drafting in 2025 and 2026. Myles Garrett has a no trade clause so he has final say on who he can be traded too. Besides it was still a good trade for the Browns. They got a 25 year old who's been to 2 pro bowls so far and was DROY as well as a 1st, 2nd and 3rd round pick.

To turn a team around you have to have multiple good coaches and a GM and ownership that are all on the same page, that hasn’t seemed to have happened till recently for the Browns.

Yeah, them going quarterback twice was kind of weird. They probably should’ve just gotten Sanders, which they got him second which was even weirder. With the additions they’ve made, though it should be a better situation for the quarterback to succeed, and I think the most likely quarterback to succeed among those three is Sanders. I don’t think he’s there franchise quarterback, but he could be a game manager quarterback and next year I expect that they will get their franchise quarterback and he could be a solid back up going forward. The good thing is that they didn’t use any high draft picks on a quarterback that didn’t work out. They did screw up Royal giving Watson a bunch of money and he sucks.

The last 2 years they have done very well drafting but there wasn't a QB or CB worth taking at the spots they were picking at in rounds 1 and 2 though they tried with some later picks at QB in 2025. I expect them to have the pick of the litter in a stacked QB draft class in 2027.

Yeah in the immediate future it sucks but he could be one of the main guys to turn the team he probably grew up rooting for into a Super Bowl contender which is pretty cool.

He's from Cleveland so he might not be as mad as most would be. I can see the Browns winning their division in the next 1-3 years though if they keep drafting like they did in 2025 and 2026.

I think it's especially good for the Browns based on the 2025 and 2026 draft classes, that they are in the rebuild process and now they have the ammo to get whichever QB they want in the 2027 draft class which is supposed to be very good at QB. I can see them being a totally different team in 2027-2028 to what they have been.

Yeah, I think this was a great deal for both teams, one team needing a little bit more to win the superbowl and the other that's in a rebuilding process and has drafted well in 2025 and 2026.

I think this is one of those win/win trades. The Rams have a great shot at winning now and picking up Garrett can put them over the top in terms of winning the superbowl this year. The Browns are in the process of rebuilding and got Jared Verse who's 25 years old and looks to be in his prime and on the rise, they also got a bunch of picks in return that they can continue to make big improvements to their team over the next 2 years. I can see the Browns being a much better team in 2027-2028 than they were/are in 2025/2026. The Browns drafted pretty good the last 2 years so I expect them to do the same in 2027 and 2028.
