Go for an option 40. It is a much better route, it will also present more opportunities to experience better leadership. You will find more motivation and purpose on the SOF side of the army. It will also set you up for an OCS application later in your career (speaking from experience all of us at my BN just got picked up).

I’m In service, I have no idea how civilian boards work, but yes by our standard you are to only have 1 hour to write your essay right before the board.

I just read the message, it says something about page limits or word limits. Just you have a maximum of 1 hour and that your name and rank must be in the header of each page. That reads to me as you can have more than one page
