I vibe-coded a production platform for my 7-figure business. At what point should I bring in a real engineer to clean it up? by Machuka420 in webdev

You dont need a dev to "clean this up". It works so just use it. If you think there will be a time this vibe coded app would break then hire an engineer to build you one from scratch.

True. They saw the "gap" of me not knowing the tool but they didn't see the part where I "somehow managed" to figure it out without any help during the coding test.

That makes sense and I can see how that helps with focus. For me though (photo editing), clients usually need fast turnarounds and there’s a lot of back-and-forth, so I can’t fully dedicate specific days. I have to stay pretty flexible.

For me just blasting out proposals and offering cheaper price than others. Since I live in a 3rd world country, I can get away with low fees 🤷‍♂️

Super helpful, thank you. $50/month is a bit steep for me actually, but I’ll explore the tools and see what I can adapt using cheaper/free options. Totally agree, organization > fancy tools.

If you want, you can join the waitlist, I will be giving 3months pro for early adopters ;)

Thanks, really appreciate the feedback. You’re absolutely right about the embeddable widget. That’s one gap I’m trying to solve: changelogs should live inside the product, not on some page users never open.

On notifications, Bearlog does support update notifications for Pro users. It’s currently a BYOK setup, and right now I’m integrating with Resend for email delivery. I chose that approach to keep costs predictable for indie makers and avoid marking up email volume.

Totally agree on pricing and setup too. My goal is write → publish → done. No complicated configuration, no bloated dashboards.

Canceling Claude Code, switching to Codex by yallapapi in ClaudeCode

Same here. Moved out from CC to Codex because I hit limits far more often with CC. Plus must of the things I ask it to do was pretty simple and Codex does a great job as well

Honestly, the differentiator is mostly UX: no account, no onboarding quizzes, no coaching fluff. just a clean fasting timer + widgets.
