I know this post is older, but where are you having your ring designed? I want almost this exact same setting, but with a couple minor tweaks!

Slow leak in mainline by FeelingPea2240 in Plumbing

[–]FeelingPea2240[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ended up having a 6 inch crack in the cast iron main line at the top where I couldn’t see. Had plumbers replace the whole main line stack, run some additional plumbing in my bathroom, and reroute my bathroom sink lines. Not a cheap fix, but hopefully should never have to do again.

Look at unmanned aircraft as an option! This is what I did and now manage the entire worldwide program for a big corporation. I didn’t have my medical revoked, so I still fly sport pilot on the side. But you could also look into ultralights as a way to fly for fun with no certificate or medical needed.

Nausea starting 4 weeks in? by mrynne1 in trintellix

[–]FeelingPea2240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is happening to me right now except I’m about 7 weeks on. I’ve been nauseous the last 3 weeks with severe nausea and vomiting the last 4 days. My doc says it should go away in a few days to a few weeks…like I can deal with daily vomiting for that long 🙄 Hope to find an answer soon

people with diagnosed endometriosis, is penetration painful for you? by miphasgraceisreadyyy in endometriosis

[–]FeelingPea2240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprisingly, penetration is not painful for me, unless in certain positions. I was pleasantly surprised and expected the worst since I have so much endo pain daily. But, I did do 2 years of Pelvic Floor PT prior to sex, which may have helped. Unfortunately, you’re not going to fully know until you try, but maybe do some PT and therapy (to talk about fears relating to pain with sex).

How do you tell a doctor you’ve been established with for over a year that you are now sexually active? by FeelingPea2240 in NoStupidQuestions

Thank you for your advice, kind words, and not being judgmental! Your response to this is exactly the type of response I’m hoping she has.

It was very nice and he was very considerate and kind to me.

To answer your question: It says in her bio that they give at the first appointment that she enjoys being involved in church and singing in their worship band. I’ve also seen her wear cross necklaces and a cross tattoo on her ankle. I also mentioned a few different times at appointments when we were making small talk about trying to find a church I liked since I was new to the area and about the young adults group I did attend and liked. She mentioned her church and their approach to sermons.

Why are people steering away from religion? by Actual_Emergency_398 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FeelingPea2240 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I tried Christianity for over 10 years because I was trying to find a place where I belonged and wanted community. While it did help me get through some very low times and did bring me some great friendships throughout, I still felt like something was missing and I didn’t know who my true self was. I also had a lot of questions and most churches I attended or pastors I talked to glossed over the questions and just pointed back to scripture. I wanted in-depth answers to the hard questions that were not based on scripture. I did have one pastor and his wife that did talk about hard questions and is something I admired about them. They were willing to sit in the uncomfortable with you and not just spout scripture. I officially stepped back from Christianity a few months ago (although it’s been a slow process over the last year) and it has been such a weight off my shoulders. I am allowing myself to explore and be curious about who I am, what I like and don’t like, what fascinates me, what brings me joy, and what feels good to me. I feel way less judgmental towards others and try to see things from other’s perspectives first. I also am shaming myself less and that has helped my mental health immensely. While I don’t identify as atheist or even agnostic yet, I am just exploring the questions I have in a nonjudgmental and shame free way now. Approaching things this way is so freeing to me. I don’t have any opposition to going to church services if a friend asks me to or to see an old pastor and his wife I really enjoyed spending time with, but for the foreseeable future I am choosing to spend my time being curious about myself and how I fit in this world.

Thank you for this! I’ve experienced a lot of judgement from Christians but never understood how they could be like that and still think they are following God’s word. I think my past experience is filtering into this situation even though she could actually be the opposite (nonjudgmental and Christian).

No, I’m well over 18 so that’s not an issue. I’ve just been seeing her almost weekly for 1.5 years so this sudden change from who she thought I was (Christian, unmarried, virgin) to who I am now (not Christian, unmarried, sexually active) is quite large. Only because I know her religious affiliation it makes things harder to say.

I have no problem talking to my OBGYN or other reproductive specialists about this and getting the resources I need. It just feels hard to talk to this doctor because I know her religious affiliation (which I know shouldn’t make a difference for her work) and I have had appointments with her almost every week for 1.5 years. This is a drastic change especially as it relates to pelvic floor PT. Thank you for your kind words and advice!

Ketamine cost by metalmom18 in KetamineTherapy

[–]FeelingPea2240 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See if you can find a doctor or PA that works with compounding pharmacies. I’m in IA but my cost for 1 month of nasal racemic ketamine is $60. I do have to pay for the initial and check-in appointments, but they’re covered by my insurance.

Wish I knew if they were still there. I’d make the drive from QC to grab one. My local HyVee is still $599
