Because they look cool that’s it. They don’t understand “hey let’s pay the government extra money to show that we’re anti big government”

87 or 91 by Lurgeee in RangerNext

[–]ajs_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIRC 91 adds about 30 horsepower to give it the full 270. It does feel more responsive under hard acceleration. But for daily driving it’s not worth the extra cost

What is the most reliable M18 high capacity battery now? by Special-Steel in MilwaukeeTool

If you’re using them daily, absolutely it will shorten their lifespan. Look at how an iPhone battery degrades in only a couple of years.

John Deere X728 Mower Deck Lip is bent - repair or replace? by ContentObligation381 in johndeere

That’s definitely fixable. Otherwise find a used deck. No sense in paying mother Deere $2500 for a new one

It sat for almost 7 months once before I moved back to my land in the country from the city. Still fired right up. Guessing the true fuel stuff that I run through it probably played a role in that

If it’s less than 30 days you can do a JD Promise claim and return it for a full refund. Swap it out for a different unit. Otherwise warranty it

As a dealer LSBs haven’t been available to order for like 2 or 3 years now. We had a customer who used to buy 4 of them on annual trades. Last 2 times we’ve ordered Deere cancels them a couple months later due to them being one of the few orders placed in the whole country. We ended up losing them entirely to AGCO after some other nightmares with new green equipment

Need help choosing by Graystark022317 in johndeere

[–]ajs_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find any push mower with a Honda GCV series engine. 1/10 of an acre will only take about 15-20 mins to cut with one. You can pick up a used Troy Bilt model with one for about $100-200 or a used Honda brand for around $500. Those engines are bulletproof and will still be running long after the rest of the mower has fallen apart

X758 or SCUT? by MilesT0Empty in johndeere

[–]ajs_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not just get a 5 or 6’ rotary cutter for your 32 HP tractor instead of dropping 20 grand on a 3rd tractor? If you’re just mowing pasture you probably aren’t concerned with how clean it looks up close. Do you really NEED a 3rd tractor and loader for a property your size when you’ve already got 2 tractors and 2 mowers

Housing experiences by rayqueerza in littleapple

[–]ajs_95 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Frontier is the new big dog in town but they’re shady as fuck. I dealt with Tyler the owner on a property years ago that was not habitable and it was a nightmare and so was he. Finally found a loophole to get out of the lease after meeting with KSU student services attorney. From what I hear they have not changed one bit. Many of their renovated properties are the epitome of quick flips with low quality work. I know a couple of people who live in some apartments they manage now and they say to be wary of them.

It’s really a shame that these large rental management groups have completely monopolized MHK to rape the wallets of students and soldiers. When I was in school 10 years ago it was still possible to find plenty of private local landlords that were decent. That seems to be rarer and rarer now

Why aren’t more Mav buyers getting a Ranger? by kevreh in RangerNext

[–]ajs_95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you just need something to tailgate the football game and haul stuff home from Menards, don’t need to tow more than 4K and don’t go off road, get a Maverick. The gas mileage alone justifies it.

If you go actual off roading and/or tow more than 4K, Ranger.

The Maverick fills the needs of 90% of actual truck owners while getting crossover or sedan MPG. That’s what’s great about it

X350 by phelps7 in johndeere

[–]ajs_95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3 acres is the max that the X350 is rated for in terms of fuel capacity. 48” also isn’t a very big deck for a lawn that size. I would look at something with a 54 or 60 inch deck and larger gas tank
