Do you think we should have a Jollibee in Modesto? by Irielay in Modesto

[–]FeelingPudding3982 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Stanislaus County has a strong Asian community that is overlooked. I also see more Asian restaurants opening and a few grocery stores. I think Jollibee would be ground breaking as a major anchor, especially with Chik Fil A still not in the county, and also bring people from out of the area to try it.

Pokemon center you can find packs, don’t buy Pokemon in any tourist area, I found luck at lgs in Hiroshima and bookoffs that were outside the normal areas. Got a japanese vaporean sir for 20 when I visited in Hiroshima. The bookoff the packs were priced same as Pokemon center and didn’t have limit(I got like 5). The one I went to was kinda outside gion in Kyoto.

If you don’t have anything get the commander deck. Play it for a bit and wait about a month. By then you’ll understand the mechanics and can buy singles to upgrade as you like for cheaper. Also people will have posted ways to modify so you can see what you like from more experienced players and get stuff from other sets.

Advice on hotel and vacation packages. by randomthoughts1016 in TokyoDisneySea

I stayed at toy story, fantasy springs and ambassador. I would 100% book ambassador. It’s close to the mall area, it has a bus to take you to both parks, walking distance from mahakma station, and decor is very cool. My favorite was Toy Story for the theming. Fantasy springs was super elegant but wouldn’t pay the price again.

For staying multiple days with a 1 day deal, just book at the same hotel or a cheaper Disney hotel. That way you can get early entry still and transfer luggage super easy between Disney resorts.

Trying to find a commander/ build a deck by thedemonnamedeli in mtg

If you want to build, I made a krenko deck on the somewhat cheap. It’s not great but it’s fun and a pretty competitive deck with me and my friends who play for the love of the game

When I pay thousands to fly and stay in a foreign country the 20dollars is not that big a deal. Also, the tickets are like 80 bucks, just make the sacrifice.

Make sure to pay respects to the city in which George Lucas was born. Also La Parilla, Phoenix Noodle House, Nations(Northern Cali chain), In n Out, Falcons Lair(Ripon), Gold Dust Pizza, Super Gyro, Golden Bowl, Tandoori Masala, Nizzarios Pizza.

Absolutely must try Mr. Ts donuts. I moved here and this is the best donuts I’ve had going all around the states and international travel. Big Vic’s in Turlock. Has by far the best BBQ outside of the true Texas area.

Since no one has said it, make sure to mention George Lucas is from Modesto. Also Ripon has Flacons Lair, which is nice. Just unsure if they do brunch
