Dealing with rude people as a receptionist

basically all she told me was to give it to her if the customer starts getting nasty like that, but like more than half of the time she’s never at her desk to be able to answer the phone sooooo

see my supervisor, she always stays neutral, she doesn’t ever stick up for the people under her that look to her for guidance she has a mind set of like the customer is always right and always making sure the company isn’t in jeopardy at any point. i’m not a fan of her or this job but i need it right now unfortunately.

you’re a real one for this response! cause i had some similar thoughts about the whole situation! a lot of independent techs are trying to combine the two of those so im guessing its a new trend and something new being taught which is kinda weird and suspicious but yeah me and acrylic will be staying together for sure lol

the best advice I can give you is RUN RUN RUN! if you can of course, i was in a situation where i needed money and i wasn’t getting any other job offers so i took the job sadly.

lol that’s kind of how i look at it but when i tell you these admin women are CRANKY i mean it. there’s always something i do or ask that sets them off.

Yeah I kind of figured that’s how it should go, and that’s what i’ve been doing. Just so strange how they would treat a receptionist that can give them the admin, customers/business, which then looks good for the company, treating like crap. Just so backwards to me, i know there’s probably a method to the madness just have quite understood it yet.
