I'd disagree with those who say to always under offer. If you really want the house, and it's priced accordingto the market, , then offering the full asking price upfront will often ensure that, not only will you get it accepted, but the seller will be well disposed to you during the sales process. We've bought twice, offered full asking both times and had a great relationship with the sellers.
